Monitoring of volatile substances in the fish

This Bachelor thesis deals with post-mortem biochemical processes in fish. The theoretical part is focused on describing the ongoing changes in fish and the production of volatile compounds in different species of fish during post mortem changes. Experimental part is focused on monitoring and chemical analysis of volatile compounds from fish under various storage conditions. The analysis is performed on the basis of gas chromatography with mass detector.

Cílem bakalářské práce je analýza vědecky pozoruhodných látek obsažených v různých extraktech máty peprné. V teoretické části se formou rešerše zaměřím na látky vyskytující se v mátě, jejich účinky, význam a využití. V praktické, experimentální části, se budu věnovat zkoumání a porovnání konkrétních extraktů máty z dostupných zdrojů pomocí plynové chromatografie s hmotnostní analýzou. Tato část také zahrnuje senzorickou analýzu jednotlivých nálevů máty peprné.

Analysis of risk factors associated with dengue in Southeast Asia

The thesis focuses on analyses of relations between risk factors and dengue fever incidence in a selected area of Southeast Asia region. Specifically, it focuses on the Philippines, where the governmental organizations provide relatively sufficient amount of data. First, general problematic of Neglected Tropical Diseases with focus on dengue fever is introduced. Its transmission and influencing factors are specified. Then, current methods of dengue incidence and risk factors relationship modelling are reviewed. Furthermore, statistical processing of available data is carried out, especially, in terms of detailed analysis of the relationship between climatic factors and dengue incidence in the Philippines. Based on the obtained results, a mathematical model describing the relationship between dengue, cumulative precipitation and mean temperature on regional and weekly basis, is created. Model estimation is performed with generalized linear regression by applying negative binomial distribution. With the model, the dengue incidence dependency on selected risk factors was verified. Concurrently, overall complexity of the disease development and transmission was verified by the model.

Jednou z klíčových změn, které přinesla Lisabonská smlouva je vytvoření funkce Vysokého představitele pro zahraniční věci a bezpečnostní politiku, který předsedá Radě EU pro vnější vztahy a který je zároveň místopředsedou Evropské komise. Institucionálně se tak propojily dvě klíčové složky zahraniční politiky EU. Na tento post byla navržena dne 19. listopadu 2009 na neformálním zasedání šéfů států a vlád členských států EU v Bruselu Catherine Ashton z Velké Británie. Stalo se tak těsně před vstupem Lisabonské smlouvy v platnost dne 1. prosince 2009. Evropská služba pro vnější činnost (ESVČ), někdy také označovaná jako diplomatický sbor Evropské unie, je poté zcela novým útvarem jenž přináší Lisabonská smlouva.

The bachelor thesis entitled "Analysis of investment opportunities in the market of gold" focuses on the interpretation of possibilities of the investor who decides to enter to the commodity market with gold. The first part is intended to introduce reader to the problems, bring him gold as metal, demand and supply for him and his representation in the investment portfolio. The second chapter is divided into direct and indirect form of investment. It occupies with various forms of investments, their substance, advantages and disadvantages. In the last chapter are analysed different factors affecting the gold price and the current high price of gold.
