Design and implementation of custom mashup application
Fenyk, Tomáš ; Smutný, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Vadinský, Ondřej (referee)
Bachelor thesis is focused on a development process of web application that should help users to plan one-day bicycle trips on their own and also solves questions and problems that appeared during the development. Data used in this application are gathered from various providers (mainly providing geolocation services) which ranks this application to the category of mashup applications. Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part basic principles crucial for understanding to functions of mashup (API, REST, JSON format, AJAX and other) are described. The following practical part contains thematically focused chapters that describe the process of creating above mentioned application along with a selection of practical solutions, which provided appropriate support for the application.

Proposal and implementation of web application for single entry book-keeping
Hofhanzl, Martin ; Smutný, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Juříček, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with issues of single entry book-keeping and web technologies that nowadays may be used while developing web applications. Its aim is to introduce basic structure of single entry book-keeping, describe web technologies and develop a web application for single entry book-keeping. In terms of the theoretical part, there are compared available applications with an overview of their features. Characteristic of single entry book-keeping is introduced which and subsequently followed by chapter related to web application requirements. To conclude this part there is a basic characteristic of web technologies that were used while developing an application. In terms of the practical part, there is outlined a process of designing graphic interface which represents the simple shape of the landing page as well as application. Data structure is specified in detail as a follow-up to a characteristic of single entry book-keeping. The last part focuses on the practical example of functions in the application. The practical output of this thesis is real web application which is ready for first users.
Software for Online Record of Sales
Nguyen, Viet Bach ; Vojíř, Stanislav (advisor) ; Smutný, Zdeněk (referee)
One of the key elements of retail facilities is a cash register system because it optimizes the checkout process. Even though retail firms usually present a conservative behavior towards innovations, they still need both human resources and high-quality machines to help maintain the smoothness of daily processes, especially with cash registers and POS systems since they carry out the most crucial process in the whole establishment. Law and regulations are also an issue that firms must deal with. Most of cash registers and POS systems in the Czech Republic are to be deemed useless due to the introduction of the new Act of Online Record of Sales. This means that old machines and systems will have to be replaced by newer ones. The goal of this thesis is to design and implement a solution for retail firms to cope with legal requirements of the regulation. To achieve this goal, the thesis first deals with the requirement analysis of POS systems. It also provides a detailed analysis among significant features of the statutory regulation while describing the fundamentals of that regulation. A design of a POS system is then proposed based on gathered information. Its implementation is then carried out using the web as its platform. The POS system implements a client-server model using some of the newest and most popular JavaScript web technologies including jQuery, Express framework, Node.js and MongoDB database system. The output of this work is an on-line application which provides many important features to support retail businesses and thus can become a convenient and beneficial solution for entrepreneurs.

This thesis deals with the loading time of websites developed by CSS frameworks. Thesis also focuses on website optimization and website measuring. The main goal of this thesis is to execute the performance analysis on a websites developed by different CSS frameworks. Finally approach and evaluate which CSS framework is due to the loading time of a website best suited for a particular type of website. The theoretical part explains the concept of CSS framework. In this part are also presented the most popular CSS frameworks. Following part of thesis deals with loading time of websites. There are described optimization possibilities and website measuring. In the practical part is the performance analysis of the loading time of different websites developed by different CSS frameworks. The conclusion of thesis evaluates the results of the analyzes and subsequently are presented recommendations which are based on these results. The recommendations and the analyzes forms main contribution of this thesis and can help to website developers to select a CSS framework for developing websites due to less loading time of a website.
A method for selecting a portfolio of tools for online marketing activities and supporting their management
Smutný, Zdeněk ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Stříteský, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Ota (referee) ; Hynek, Josef (referee)
Online marketing activities play an increasingly important role for organization in connection with the development of internet based technologies and their positive reception by the society. The aim of this dissertation is to design an artefact that would support the decision making of marketing specialists and thus the management of online marketing activities. The starting point is an explorative research among Czech companies, which identifies the issues felt as problematic and the needs of the selected set of organizations. Introduced at the same time is the current state of use of selected tools for online marketing by these organizations, and the situation is compared with worldwide development. The output of this explorative research, the examination of scientific literature, and a critical analysis serve as a basis for designing an own method, Genoma, whose purpose is to support the decision making of marketing specialists, and thereby also the management of marketing activities in internet-mediated environment. This method is presented as Deming (PDCA) cycle, which enables it to be used not only separately, but also as part of other frameworks for the management of marketing activities (e.g. the frameworks PMF, MCPF and RACE, which are presented in the dissertation). The Genoma method uses mainly the genetic algorithm for selecting a suitable portfolio of online marketing tools for a particular campaign. The selection is made on the basis of expected feedback at the level of social interaction, meeting the given marketing targets, and the financial demands of the individual tools. The prerequisite of using this method is a knowledge base that includes the area of sociotechnical interaction, which is based on interpreting phenomena related to the internet-mediated environment and the features of complex networks. Methodically, this dissertation builds on the complementary relationship of the behavioural (social informatics) and the design type of research (design science research). The final assessment of the suitability of the proposed method is done on the basis of a multiple case study, which uses also an own program created in C#, implementing the genetic algorithm used in the Genoma method.
