Community Centre Roškovce

This thesis deals with the problems associated with the relationship between Romany socially excluded localities and the majority in Slovakia. It shows how the Community Centre Roškovce manages to improve the situation in the village. The author's view is not only a view of a social worker, because the author of this thesis studies the Romistic (Romany studies) at Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, Charles University at the same time. She used the knowledge in Romany language and Romany culture; she collected data during observation. Two of the Centre's goals are: 1. to provide services to the whole community in Roškovce, and 2. improving the relationship between the Romany community in Roškovce and the Slovak majority in the neighbourhood. Analysis of technical specifications and possibilities of therapeutic X-Ray systems for non-tumour therapies

This thesis deals with the use of X-rays for non-tumor therapy. It describes the formation of X-rays, their effects on the human organism and its protection. It also summarizes what diseases can be treated with irradiation and on what principle treatment is based. A part of the work is the design of the transportable X-ray station. This station is, in the next chapter, compared with the x-ray workplace in Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute with 10 years of experience. In the next part I deal with a measuring of X-ray absorption with various materials, and a description of the calibration of X-ray systems.

Extraction of Semantic Relations from Text

Today exists many semi-structured documents, whitch we want convert to structured form. Goal of this work is create a system, that make this task more automatized. That could be difficult problem, because most of these documents are not generated by computer, so system have to tolerate differences. We also need some semantic understanding, thats why we choose only domain of meeting minutes documents.

Workflow System Data Layer

This bachelor's thesis deals with a specific design for a data layer of a Workflow system. Workflow systems are used for various purposes by many companies. The resulting work proposes a simple and flexible Workflow data representation and implements -- in the PHP language and partly JavaScript -- a minimal kernel using this representation and provides sample processes showcasing the design.

Analysis of Reasons Leading to Primary School Failures of Romany Children

The rigorous work deals with the reasons leading to primary school failures of Romany children. The empirical research focuses on the knowledge or the lack of knowledge of the native language - the Romany language and its potential influence at the initial lack of success of the Romany pupils. Further it deals with the issues of coexistence of the Romany community with the majority society and last but not least the extent to which the Romany language is being used and its future development or decline. A substantial part of the work focuses on the readiness, the school maturity and language equipment of the Romany pupils at the beginning of their school attendance and highlights the necessity of understanding, comprehension and acceptance of the Romany child by the Czech teacher so that he is able to follow his education as a part of the main educational stream together with other pupils.

The Gloss and Misery of Employment Advisory

The aim of my bachelor thesis - The Gloss and Misery of Employment Advisory - is to evaluate the project of employment advisory. Since 2006 this activity has been implemented within the scope of Social Integration Programs as a reaction to existence of socially excluded slums in the Czech Republic. The activity of a career counsellor comprises both consultancy and field social work. This plan wants to help people, who are prejudiced by social exclusion on a labour market. In the first part of the thesis I will attempt to work out a detailed description of such socially excluded slums. I will approach problems people at the edge of our society have to deal with. In the second part I will be engaged by forms of help for socially excluded slums and I will focus on a work of a particular career counsellor. On the basis of assembly information I will be able to evaluate, whether this project of employment advisory will be helpful in solutions to the problems of social exclusion. I hope my thesis will not only help wider society to gain insight into this issue, but also will answer for self-reflection of people who work in these locations. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
