Spatial Planning Tools for Agricultural Land Protection in the Czech Republic and Austria: A Comparative Study
Petr, Lukáš
One of the most significant problems of sustainable development is the continued loss of arable and agricultural land due to the expansion of housing and infrastructure development. The paper compares the current spatial planning tools for protecting agricultural land in the Czech Republic and Austria. Analysis of examples of spatial planning documents, legislation, and related strategies, their verbal description, and comparison provided an overview of the status of protecting agricultural land. The results show that there are tendencies and tools to reduce the consumption of agricultural land in both countries. However, conceptual land protection in the Czech Republic could be more effective if complemented with appropriate tools from the Austrian environment.

New Ruralism as an Inspiration for Czech Rural Planning
Petr, Lukáš
New Ruralism represents an effort to extend the familiar principles of New Urbanism to non-urban areas with an emphasis on farmland protection. Various sources dealing with New Ruralism (mainly from the North American context) were analyzed using the desk research method. The regulatory and economic instruments of land development were described in detail. Using the example of New Ruralism, it was shown that economic instruments can appropriately complement standard landuse planning instruments even in the case of rural and agricultural planning. This finding can be an inspiration for rural planning in our environment.
Alemat s.r.o. headquarters and warehouse
Petr, Lukáš ; Neužil, Jiří (referee) ; Müller, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design of office building with warehouse. The buildings are situated on slightly sloping terrain in cadastre unit of Sudoměřice u Tábora. Both buildings have rectangular shape and are connected with two sides. The Alemat s.r.o. company is internet shop, predominately with electronics. In the office building is also showroom where are some products will be shown. The warehouse will serve for receipt and issue of goods and to store them. The perimeter walls of office building is designed from ceramic block thickness of 250mm, for example Heluz Family 25. The walls will be insulated with 200mm of expanded polystyrene. The foundation construction is designed as foundation strips from plain concrete and permanent formwork brick filled with concrete and reinforced with steel. The ceiling construction is designed as prestressed panels thickness of 250mm. The roof is flat with main hydro isolation made of plasticized PVC foil loaded with pea gravel. The main construction of warehouse will be made of steel frames. The exterior skin of the warehouse will form panels Kingspan thickness of 140mm. The foundation construction is designed as monolithic foundation pads. Between the pads will be monolith grade beams. The roof is designed also from Kingspan panels. To the panel will be mechanically fastened plasticized PVC foil. Roof drainage is designed to rain gutters.
Sign language detection methods - review
Petr, Luboš ; Venglář, Vojtěch (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
The Aim of this work is to describe various methods of sign language detection. The output of individual methods is a functional translation of sign language into text in real time. In addition to glove and kinect detection, this work deals with the possibilities of sign language detection from image recording, which is the most prospective method of detection in the future. The thesis is also focused on sign classification using neural networks.
Villa, Barrandov
Petr, Lukáš ; Hlubocký, Lukáš (referee) ; Müller, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of detached house which is divided into two separate units. The house is situated on slightly sloping terrain in cadastre unit of Hlupočepy in Prague 5. The house has a L-shape design. The bigger unit is designed for four member family and the smaller unit can be used as an apartment for grandparents or for a lease. The house is fully basement and has two above ground floors. For perimeter walls are used ceramic blocks Heluz with holes filled with polystyrene. The foundation construction is designed as reinforced concrete base plate and ceiling constructions as reinforced slabs. The house is roofed with gable roof with 40 degrees gradient. The thesis contains documentation for construction implementation.
Methodology for breast ultrasound examination
Vydra, J. ; Daneš, J. ; Bartoš, Michal ; Šroubek, Filip ; Petr, L. ; Zitová, Barbara
The aim of the proposed project is the development of a new ultrasonic equipment (US), allowing early detection of breast cancer and reduce the need to use the ionizing radiation during examinations. The aim is to eliminate the disadvantages of current ultrasonic systems in the diagnosis of breast cancer, which hinders its use. The target parameters include prospecting and automated description using parameters (size, texture), description of the situation, which is able to testify about the disease, combining individual images (registration) leading to the creation of 3D display - thus ensuring reproducibility UZ shaping and security testing the entire organ. At the same time the newly developed ultrasonic probe allows better capture the characteristics of bearings including microcalcifications. Software solution enables to follow the coverage of the breast examination. The areas which were omitted are detected and highlighted.
Environmental gradients during Late Glacial in Central Europe
Petr, Libor ; Sádlo, Jiří (advisor) ; Magyari, Eniko (referee) ; Roleček, Jan (referee)
The Lateglacial and Early Holocene are key periods with respect to the understanding of the present-day vegetation and environment. An interdisciplinary approach is important for the study of these changes. Only by interlinking biological and geoscience evidence can we obtain a more comprehensive picture of this key period. It is not possible to interpret any pollen spectrum in the sedimentary record without knowledge of the history of the locality and its vicinity. Rapid climate changes had a crucial effect on the environment and vegetation. Continentality of the climate and a deficit of precipitation amplify the effect of local conditions. Vegetation, as in the case of vertebrates and molluscs, comprises a combination of species of a continental steppe, mountain biotopes and disturbed habitats. This facilitated contact among species and populations that are biogeographically separated at present. Vegetation of the Lateglacial period in the Czech Republic ranges in character from frost barrens in the mountains, through steppe-tundra vegetation at medium altitudes to a continental steppe in the lowlands and pine woodlands constrained to a moist floodplain. The Western Carpathians were covered by a taiga. In the Pannonian Lowland, there were open forests with conifers and broadleaved woody plants....

Petr, Lukáš ; Šafránek, Jiří (advisor) ; Hendl, Jan (referee)
Exercises Enhancing the track cycling technique Aim: The aim of this thesis is to compile and verify in practice exercises for inventory development and training proper techniques bike ride along the bike path. These exercises should be included in the beginning and during the cycling training. In conclusion, the thesis is whether Applications should exercise for the development of proper riding techniques on the bike path positive impact on the group of competitors, or if they had no effect. It is assumed that even with competitors, having behind Track racing experience occurs after the adoption of emerging exercises riding technique on the track to improve driving techniques. A method: In compiling the inventory we initially created different types of exercise. individual exercises It was applied to athletes in the sports center, youth cycling club Favorit Brno. When the work was continued applied research literature. I gained knowledge He added their knowledge and experience with the ride along the bike path. Without a perfect mastery riding technique on the track cycling on the bike path can not be expected in the future top performance. Adoption exercises described below competitor wins the prerequisites for the harmonious development of all components of sports performance. Since the track cycling is...
