The workings of Autonomous Greenhouses
Formánek, Adam ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Elbl, Patrik (advisor)
This research work aims to concentrate information from extensive literature dealing with autonomous greenhouse related topics. The first part of the work is focused on basic concepts related to autonomous greenhouses. The second part explains an amount of concepts defining the logical apparatus and logical principles used in autonomous greenhouse design. Furthermore, this work deals with the physical aparatus of intelligent greenhouses, primarily its actuators. Finally it deals with autonomous greenhouse competitions, with focus on their conditions and logic.
Reducing the energy demand of a family house
Ondrák, Adam ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of reducing the energy intensity of a family house and it approaches this issue in three steps. Firstly, the examination of the heat loss of the whole building, using the standard ČSN EN 12 831 and thermal vision. Subsequently, this is followed by the choice of the most economically suitable solution, so that the most modern technologies for reducing heat losses can be utilized and the project repays as quickly as possible. Furthermore, we will find the most suitable variant of a photovoltaic power plant, with regard to different types of photovoltaic panels. In conclusion, the price of the entire project and its repay and then other measures, that could be used to reduce project costs or the acquisition of additional equipment to reduce energy consumption, are listed.
Energy gains of agrofotovoltaics
Huf, Milan ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on the possible synergy between agricultural activity and solar energy production. The theoretical part of this work begins with the processing of theoretical knowledge in the field of photovoltaics. Furthermore, the concept of agrophotovoltaics is explained, its advantages and possible types of installation are introduced. Furthermore, existing installations around the world are presented and the situation around agrophotovoltaics in the Czech Republic is outlined. The practical part of the work is focused on the creation of the model and its programming so that the panels create shade for cultivated crops. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the design of an agrophotovoltaic installation in the Brno area and the assessment of its technical and economic aspects.
Possibilities of reducing energy intensity and production of CO2 type objects
Ondruch, Jiří ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to introduce the issue of energy intensity of buildings. The thesis describes available technologies and ways to reduce energy intensity and CO2 production. In the design part, suitable measures are applied to selected typical buildings, which lead to lower consumption of the building, savings on operation costs and lower CO2 production.
Design of a heat exchanger in a nuclear power plant
Kocanda, Tomáš ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the design of heat exchange in nuclear power plant, more specifically on low-pressure heater 2. The introduction of bachelor´s thesis deals with the introduction of nuclear energy and nuclear power plants. The following chapters describe low-pressure regeneration as well as low-pressure heater. In the last part of the work, the heater is calculated from the entered values and values subtracted from the overall thermal scheme of the secondary circuit of the Dukovany nuclear power plant.
A test setup for thermal cycling of thermoelectric modules
Preisler, Lukáš ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
The present work is focused on thermoelectric modules and testing modes. Failures of thermoelectric modules occur due to the cyclic thermal stress in real applications and their power parameters decrease. Hence an experimental study of thermoelectric modules was executed, which measured parameters of thermoelectric modules and thermal cycling testing methods. In the practical part of this document, the thermal cycling conditions of thermoelectric modules were set-based on the previously stated study. A bipolar-pulse load in range +3,0 V and 3,0 V was proposed alternating after 90 seconds. For comparison of the modules among producers 200 cycles will be made. According to the cycling conditions, construction adjustments of current laboratory testing platform are proposed. The current platform is currently set to measure parameters of thermoelectric modules and is not for cycling load testing.
Circuits of nuclear power plants
Pavlíček, Martin ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the history and beginnings of nuclear energy, an explanation of the basic knowledge of nuclear energy and an introduction to the issue. Then, the division of nuclear reactors according to various criteria is described. Furthermore, the solution of individual circuits in a nuclear power plant is described according to the type of reactor used. The individual circuits are described at the Temelin nuclear power plant. The last part deals with nuclear safety and various safety systems, without which a nuclear power plant could not be started.
Heat exchanger design
Jílek, Tomáš ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a tube heat exchanger for water - water media, which is part of a cooling circuit. The thesis contains basic description and distribution of tube heat exchangers. It also includes designing and calculating geometric dimensions, calculating the pressure losses in the pipe and intermediate flange spaces and calculating the actual output of the heat exchanger. Part of the thesis is also drawing documentation of the proposed heat exchanger.
Assessment reduced heat loss of an apartment house
Šimková, Nikola ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The rising trend in energy prices has led to the search for options to reduce its need. The bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the heat loss reduction for an apartment building. In the introduction, it deals with factors affecting the energy consumption for heating. It reviews the heat loss of a building and possibilities to minimalize it, which leads to an energy performance reduction. Subsequently, it deals with the calculation procedure of the design heat loss for the model apartment building before and after the implementation of measures to reduce heat losses. In the end these two states are compared and evaluated with each other The result is an assessment of the reconstruction benefits.
Optimation and Innovation of Heating by Thermal Pumps
Petr, Jan ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The Bachelor’s Thesis adresses heat pumps, its description, comparison and assessment of heating of the model house. In the first part the research is done. The research describes on what principles the heat pump works and how they differ. In the second part, the model house is described. Heat losses are calculated. For two types of heat pumps are calculated returns on investments.
