Comparison of inhabitants readiness from emergency planning zones Nuclear power plant Dukovany (Czech Republic) and Jaslovské Bohunice (Slovakia) in the area of population protection including influence of population differentiation
KOLÁŘ, Jiří
Superior readiness of the inhabitants for the emergency situation caused by radiation accident is a very important condition for managing these situations, further for trouble-free adoption of measures related to the protection of life and health for each individual. Persons should be conscious of the hazard of emergency situations and within oneself be prepared to help themselves and each other. The objective of this master thesis is to examine the readiness of the inhabitants of the emergency planning zones of the Nuclear power plants in Czech Republic (Dukovany NPP) and in Slovakia (Jaslovské Bohunice NPP) to the emergency situation and to assess, if the readiness in both countries differs. The Nuclear power plants in Dukovany and in Jaslovské Bohunice were chosen for the particular reason, that both facilities were constructed and put into operation at the time of existence of the common state of Czech and Slovaks. The starting point is a working thesis that the readiness of the inhabitants for managing the emergency situation in the planning zones of the Nuclear power plants in Czech Republic and in Slovakia was on the same level. Considering the population differentiation, I analysed separately the answers of respondents in the age group of the 4165 year old. Theoretical part of my thesis initially focuses on the historical development of Nuclear power plants on the territory of the former Czechoslovakia and deals with the advantages and disadvantages of the production of electricity in a fission reaction. The other part deals with safety and operational security of the Nuclear power plants. Here is mentioned the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale, including the examples of nuclear facilities accidents. At the conclusion of the theoretical part is a survey of legislative regulations concerning the nuclear safety and protection of the population in both countries and a survey of measures concerning protection of the population in the event of radiation accident. The experimental part of my thesis started in form of questionnaire inquiry by the inhabitants of both emergence planning zones. Half of the 16 questions in total is analysed by the means of descriptive and mathematical statistics, the answers to the other questions refer to behavior, informedness, readiness and differing needs of individuals in case of emergency shelter in place or evacuation from the actual occurrence of radiation accident. The hypothesis was verified by applying the two-selective parametric testing. By means of the t-test it could be proved, that there is no statistically significant difference between the inhabitants readiness in the both emergence planning zones. The hypothesis was therefore accepted. By applying the chi-square test it was elicited, that the empirical distribution of both selective statistical sets can by replaced by a normal distribution, both empirical curves can by therefore replaced by a Gauss curve. This partial research focuses on the age group of the 41-65 year old. Also in this case could be proved by means of chi-square test the normality of both statistical sets. Also the application of two-selective parametric testing approved, that the readiness of the population of the age group under investigation do not vary in the both zones. The particular answers were recorded graphically and in the following discussion were commented the differences and specifics with regard to the differing knowledge, behavior and specific requirements of the people in case of evacuation. In context of the results measured in the particular zones of accident planning it could be useful to consider, if in place of the normal distribution of readiness not another for example the Poisson distribution - would be more suitable, that could possibly testify better readiness for emergency accidents. Very important role plays enlightenment and education in such form that will arouse interest in the given problems in the population.
Návrh koncepce managementu populace jelena lesního (Cervus elaphus) v honitbě VLS ČR, s.p., divize Lipník nad Bečvou
Kolář, Jiří
The goal of this disertation is to suggest a management of deer breeding in Libavá, where one of the six forest divisions of the state company farm with forest industry and gamekeeping. Military Forests and Farms - a division of Lipník nad Bečvou, so that there was a mutual cooperation between these two ways of farming. The proposal of this conception solves quantitative and partially qualitative section of deer population, the target quantity and location of winter object and optimal feeding regime of deer not only in these objects but also outside of them.
Credit cards on the internet
Kolář, Jiří ; Matuštík, Ondřej (advisor) ; Kalina, Jaroslav (referee)
Using credit cards to buy goods and services is becoming more and more popular and this trend can be observed even when paying by card over the Internet. From a customer perspective is indeed a comfortable and quick way of paying. Merchants realize this and so in their online stores card payment allows. The content of this work illustrates the issue of security of payment cards on the Internet, encryption and secure communication, as a basis for describing 3D Secure standard. The aim is to analyze the security features of payment cards issued by banks and credit institutions operating on the Czech market from the perspective of the owner of the credit card. At the same time to estimate future developments in this sector based on facts and trends.
Healthcare information systems
Potančok, Martin ; Kunstová, Renáta (advisor) ; Kolář, Jiří (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on information systems in the field of hospital and nursing-care bed management and contactless vital signals monitoring. The aim of this thesis is to provide the basic overview of information systems used in health care facilities, to introduce both the LINis and Vitalmonitor systems, to analyse the effectiveness of their implementation as well as to prepare their financing models. The introductory section defines the area of health information systems. It covers the whole system spectrum from the strategic to the less important ones. This definition determines the environment for the new systems. The analysis of the largest suppliers within the Czech Republic is also included in this section. The second part deals with the LINis system and Vitalmonitor system, their basic functionality, structure and integration. The most important is the third section which contains the analysis of the effects resulting from the standard information system extension. The Effects of the LINis system and Vitalmonitor system are assessed according to the level of patient care, staff performance, value added for different types of medical facilities and financing models.
Czech Humanitarian Organization in Chechnya
KOLÁŘ, Jiří
This bachelor work is divided into four parts. The first of them explains basic conceptions and acquaints the reader with the definitions of humanitarian aid and its specifics. In the second part, there are defined standards of provision of humanitarian aid in areas afflicted with war or natural disaster. The third part is intented on Czech humanitarian organizations, which commited themselves in humanitarian aid in Chechnya. The reader can findout which organizations helped there and what sort of aid it was. The last part is focused on Chechnya, its history and goes back to its conflict with Russia. Also the part of enclosures can be interesting. The statements of four ex-employees of humanitarian organizations, who took a share in aid in Chechnya, are written down there.
Indications of individual imaging femoropatellar joint investigations
KOLÁŘ, Jiří
The main theme of this bachelor work is to evaluate the indication of single imaging methods for examinations in the area of the patellofemoral joint. The work contains shortly summarized anatomy-physiology conditions in this area, including anatomy variations of the patella and the patellofemoral joint pathology. The work continues with a description of single indicated imaging methods. The basic is a skiagraphy examination, every single projection is described in details, including a historical overview of the axial patella projection. Other methods which are mentioned are the artrography, the magnetic resonance imaging, the computed tomography and the scintigraphy. Issues of contraindications and risks for patients related to examinations are mentioned, too. A level of suitability how to use other examination methods, especially MRI, is considered on a chosen patient sample. At first plain pictures were done, some patients undertook ultrasonography examination and finally a magnetic resonance imaging examination was indicated. The computed tomography and the scintigraphy are not usually used for patellofemoral joint indications. The author compares financial and time demands of each method. The cheapest seem to be plain pictures and the sonography, on the other hand the most expensive is the magnetic resonance imaging, which is also the best way in the diagnostics at the same time. The magnetic resonance imaging method is the most contributory for a valuation of cartilages and tender joint parts. The time demands make a part of the comparison, too.
