The Influence of single harmonics or formants on timbre color perception
Klimeš, Martin ; Indrák, Michal (referee) ; Jirásek, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis is dealing with the research of the influence of individual harmonic on the perception of sound color. An application was created with a questionnaire in which respondents assessed a total of 29 samples on different bipolar scales. The samples were either modeled by additive synthesis or created by modifying musical instruments. The aim was to investigate how and what combinations of higher harmonic affect the perception of sound color. The experiment is based on the semantic differential method. The samples were divided into several groups and within these groups they were compared and related to the expected color perception.
Low-power Security System of the Electricity-free Cellars
Klimeš, Martin ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Šťáva, Martin (advisor)
The work deals with the available options of security devices for basements, design and implementation of its own security equipment. An FPGA chip from Xilinx was used as a device control. The device also contains a GSM module for sending information via SMS about space violation. Intrusion signaling can also be signaled by a siren. Intrusion detection is performed using a door and motion sensor. The whole device is powered by a battery, but there is also the possibility of mains power.

Limit ultrapower and non-regular universe
Klimeš, Martin ; Pajas, Petr (referee) ; Mlček, Josef (advisor)
The limit ultrapower is generalized to complete distributive lattices equipped with a ultrafilter and a partition system. This construction provides a complete characterization of the internal universe in models of nonstandard set theory: we prove that bounded part of an elementary extension of a set universe is given by suitable partition ultrapower. Our special interest is in models where a weak form of standardization holds. The Rudin-Keisler preorder on ultrafilters is defined on partition systems on ultrafilters such that it corresponds to embeddings of related partition ultrapowers, whereas Rudin-Frolík ordering characterizes those embedddings which are standardizable. Finally, the problem whether set-many elements are always enough to generate the internal universe from its standard part is considered. It's shown that the existence of a narrow elementary extension which doesn't rise from adjunction of set-many elements implies an existence of highly nonregular ultrafilters, and thus is equivalent to a large-cardinal hypothesis.

Analysis of modern payment methods
Klimeš, Martin ; Matuštík, Ondřej (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the modern payment methods, which has nowadays became one of the most popular and used form of paying. The aim of this work is to formalise an analysis of modern payment methods and define its factor of successes. The bachelor thesis is being divided into several chapters. The first chapter is sourced from (available) written literature, highlighting the main definitions, focusing on the given topic in general but also briefly describes the historical points of view on it and the theoretical methods of critical success factors. The next chapter describes payment methods, which are being used nowadays, then focuses on the analysis of payment methods it self. Methods that are new, modern and innovative in different forms. Each method gives the basic information, function, security, typical situation and advantages and disadvantages of different forms of modern payment methods. Through this analysis we can determine the factors of success of payment methods and creates a discussion, which will result into a summary of factors that should improve and help with the development of the new payment methods. The last chapter contains selected forms of payment methods tested in real conditions.
Methods to Assess IS/ICT Outsourcing Models
Klimeš, Martin ; Voříšek, Jiří (advisor) ; Hönig, Jaroslav (referee)
The thesis "Methods to Assess IS/ICT Outsourcing Models" focuses mainly on an assessment and selection process of suitable IS/ICT outsourcing models. First, IS/ICT outsourcing concept is explained and its advantages as well as disadvantages are described. Second, IS/ICT outsourcing models (primarily classified by outsourcing subject) and their characteristics are described. Third, existing methods to assess and subsequently select suitable IS/ICT outsourcing models are analysed. Main goal of the thesis is to confront the existing methods with a process used in real-life IS/ICT outsourcing project and then to give recommendations for methods improvement. To achieve that goal the existing methods are compared with a process used in the real-life outsourcing project. Based on positively perceived parts of the existing methods as well as on flaws identified, an own method to assess and select IS/ICT outsourcing models is designed. The following methods are used when writing the thesis: logical/historical method, description, analysis and synthesis. Main contribution of the thesis to the topic is a design of the own method aiming at improvements to the existing methods so that it is as usable as possible in practice. This is achieved through a design of tools supporting crucial steps of the designed method. The fact that the author is member of a project team working on the real-life IS/ICT outsourcing project facilitates a contribution achievement too.
