Adaptation of the water mill

This bachelor thesis deals with adaptation of a water mill in Liboš to a small hydro power plant. Basic principles, functions and significance of each device are summarized and explained there. The thesis should provide a coherent description of SHPP to a reader who is unfamiliar with the topic and initiate him into the problems partly.

Hydraulic properties of siphon and direct flow swirl turbine

Non-stationary processes are associated with the operation of water machines. They are important for their reliable and safe operation. Prediction and modeling of such states using a 1D mathematical model verified on a model in the laboratory is an advantage. The work is focused on the description of a pair of transient states that are related to siphon turbines and their operation. Determination of critical flow values for inducing a suction effect and, conversely, calculation of the minimum size of the flow coefficient for safe stopping. The experiments were performed on a laboratory model and compared with operational data from a small hydroelectric power plant Želina.
Self-priming pump

Diploma thesis is focused on self-priming pump 25 - OVE Sigma pumpy Hranice s.r.o., for its function is essential the ejector which is placed in the body of the pump. On the basis of the results of measurements there are designed construction modifications using a mathematical model. For the first time were made measurements to verify the self-priming capability with determining the maximum suction height.

The thesis describing inovation tasks, which will be used for increase atractivity and attendance. Including thesis were made detailed project for three years, which has to achieve mentioned expansion in turistic-entertainming industry.
Study of hydroenergy potential exploitation of given location

For the objective of my Bachelor`s thesis I chose an assessment of hydropower potential and a design of machinery in the small hydropower plant construction on the river Váh in Trenčianske Biskupice site. I divided hydropower potential into three parts. First part is the past then present and last is future status. I have subsequently used these information in the design of machinery, including turbine and its associated penstock and draft tube. Part of my thesis also contains appropriate design solution for control gate of intake and outflow, trash rack and trash rack machine. I prepared and presented two possible alternatives together with the drawing documentation which are at the end of my paper compared and evaluated.
Adaptation of a small hydropower facility

Second part deals with legislation connected with permission issued by public law enabling construction and operation of a small hydropower facility and with promoting renewable energy sources.
Adaptation of the Watermill

The bachelor´s thesis is composed of two parts. In the first part, there is a generally discourse about small water power plants, their structural design, mechanical equipment and economical efficiency and its function is to create the basic conception of the waterwork. The second one deals concretely with the small water power plant in Crhov, that was rebuilt from the original mill by Mr. Petr König in 1990s.
Cavitation erosion

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on cavitation erosion and it is divided into two main parts. The first part is devoted to the search of cavitation erosion focusing on erosion mechanisms. In the first chapter of this search is briefly described cavitation process and different types of cavitation are listed here. Hydrodynamic cavitation which is the key type for this bachelor’s thesis is described in the following chapter. The final and the most extensive chapter is devoted to cavitation erosion of solids which is largely associated with the effects of the mechanical action of the fluid. The second part is devoted to the experimental study of cavitation erosion of samples. The goal was to document the experiment which was carried out in order to gain knowledge about the material removal by cavitation erosion.
