Individual planning with people addicted to drugs in the contact center
FIALOVÁ, Barbora
The topic of this bachelorthesis is individual planning with people who are addicted to addictive substances. The main objective is to compare process of individual planning in different contact centers in the Vysočina region. The partial aim is to find out which theoretical starting points are being used in the contact centers for individual planning with addicted clients. This thesis could help widen public awareness of the contact centers and services they offer. It could also be interesting for social workers themselves, who might find some inspiration by the concept of individual planning in other contact centers. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted, among other topics, to a description of a social worker, low-threshold facilities, contact centers and individual planning. This part also pays attention to addictive substances. The practical part of the thesis is elaborated through semi-structured interviews with six contact center workers, while these workers were selected by the method of deliberate selection. Questionnaires are structured in order to help answer the main research questions. This part also includes a comparison of individual planning with addicted clients amongworkers from different contact centers in the Vysočina Region. Based on the interviews that were processed, it was found that the number of clients per one worker differs significantly (sometimes up to twice). This is an important factor in terms of administration, which is described by almost all communication partners as an obstacle to individual planning. The research also showed that none of the communication partners uses a specific approach when working with clients. From my point of view, the surprising finding was mainly the evaluation of individual planning (mostly communication partners) as a burden while working with clients.
Legal aspects of persecuting Jewisch citizens in Nazi Germany
Fialová, Barbora ; Seltenreich, Radim (advisor) ; Horák, Záboj (referee)
Resumé This thesis titled "Legal aspects of persecuting Jewisch citizens in Nazi Germany" discusses a fairly brief period in history in relation to a specific group of individuals. It provides the viewpoint of the persecution of the Jewish citizens by the Nazi State from a predominantly legal aspect, focusing on specific laws and regulations accepted in relation to the Nazis' anti-Semitic policy. The goal of this work was the endeavour to summarise this brief period of Jewish history, point out the most important legal aspects of separation of German Jews from society and prove that assumption of power by the Nazis and implementation of the anti-Semitic policy had a legal basis. This work is divided (not counting the introduction and conclusion) into six chapters, which are further divided into sub-chapters, possibly into additional parts. The first chapter is an excursion into the general concept of human races, racism and racist ideology, essential for understanding the reasoning of society at the beginning of the 20th century. The Nazis were convinced of the existence of higher and lower races and the danger of their mixing, on which they based their anti-Semitic policy, chiefly directed in the interests of maintaining "racial purity". The second chapter focuses on defining the concepts of anti-Semitism...
Application of the SIA system for aluminium determination
Fialová, Barbora ; Sklenářová, Hana (advisor) ; Chocholouš, Petr (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of analytical chemistry Candidate: Barbora Fialová Supervisor: PharmDr. Hana Sklenářová, PhD. Title of Diploma Thesis: Application of the SIA system for aluminium determination This diploma work deals with determination of aluminium ions in samples of surface water in a sequential injection system. For determination of aluminium ions method described in ČSN 83 0520 part 22 B was used. Determination was based on complex formation between aluminium ions and aluminon. The incurred complex is colored and color intensity is directly proportional to aluminium ions concentration in the sample. In this work spectrophotometric detection was used. Primarily, an optimization of reaction conditions in the test tube was performed. The calibration graph was linear in the range 0.02 - 1 mg/l Al with correlation coefficient R = 0.9932. Also detection limit (LOD = 0.0119 mg/l) and quantification limit (LOQ = 0.0390 mg/l) were assumed. Consequently reaction was converted into the SIA system and optimization of reaction conditions in the SIA system was performed. Calibration curve was linear in concentration range from 0.02 to 0.6 mg/l with R = 0.9971. Deformation of calibration curve in the field of higher aluminium concentrations is due...
Rehydration of alkali-activated slag after high temperature loading
Fialová, Barbora ; Bayer, Patrik (referee) ; Rovnaník, Pavel (advisor)
Ground granulated blast furnace slag is a by-product of the steel industry and is often used in combination with ordinary Portland cement as a binder in concrete. When concrete is exposed to high temperatures, physical and chemical transformations lead to significant loss of mechanical properties. This study aims to investigate the effect of high temperatures and rehydration on the mechanical properties, microstructure and phase composition of alkali activated slag. The results of the research could make an important contribution to decisions made concerning the reconstruction of structures affected by fire. In suitable cases it would be possible to regenerate parts of a structure instead of totally rebuilding it.
Carbon nanotubes in building materials
Fialová, Barbora ; Bayer, Patrik (referee) ; Rovnaník, Pavel (advisor)
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) has become of great interest for scientists in many disciplines. This study examines the effect of CNTs as nanosized reinforcement for metakaolin–based geopolymer. It was found out that the addition of CNTs considerably affects the compressive and flexural strength geopolymer samples. The influence of CNTs on microstructure was examined using mercury intusion porosimetry and scanning electron microscopy.
Brazil as a destination for foreign direct investments
Brožová, Markéta ; De Castro, Tereza (advisor) ; Fialová, Barbora (referee)
The objective of this thesis is to elaborate conditions for foreign direct investments to be directed in Brazil and to find out how is the country attractive to investors and what are it´s drawbacks. The first theoretical chapter defines foreign direct investments and identifies factors that are determinant in the phase of decision-making whether to make or not a foreign direct investment in a considered economy. The second chapter follows with the specification of Brazil´s economy and its macroeconomic development in the course of 21st century. This provides a framework for elaboration of economic conditions for foreign direct investments in Brazil. The chapter also examines sectors in attempt to identify their competitiveness. The third chapter focuses on current situation of this country in terms of attractiveness of Brazil for foreign direct investments. Analysis of the situation is made according to the factors identified in the first chapter.
Revision of the Common Agricultural Policy and its impact in Slovakia
Múdry, Daniel ; Bič, Josef (advisor) ; Fialová, Barbora (referee)
The theme of this thesis is the impact of the new reform of the common agricultural policy in Slovakia. The main objective is to describe changes that come with the last reform of the common agricultural policy brought and detect the likely impacts on the Slovak agriculture. Substantial part is also evaluating the impact of Slovakia's entry into the EU on the Slovak agriculture sector. After analyzing the available data, I found out that the reform will have predominantly positive impact on Slovakia. The greatest threat to Slovakia, capping, was not approved as required. Noting the impact of this reform is an important asset to outline the changes, benefits and potential negatives that farmers should expect. It can also be an instrument to eliminate the negative iamge of this policy, as a policy for Slovakia unhelpful.
