Determinants of premature atherosclerosis in children with end-stage renal disease
Dvořáková, Hana Marie ; Piťha, Jan (advisor) ; Teplan, Vladimír (referee) ; Vaverková, Helena (referee)
Children with chronic renal failure are at extremely high risk of premature cardiovascular disease. In our work, we have shown that the measurement of carotis intima- media thickness (CIMT) with high resolution ultrasound is a suitable method for the diagnosis of early atherosclerotic changes especially in younger children. In contrast, flow mediated dilatation (FMD) according to our experience is not very suitable method for investigations in pediatrics because of its high variability. In our group of patients we did not find correlation of preclinical atherosclerosis measured by CIMT with any of the traditional cardiovascular risk factors (hypertension, dyslipidemia, overweight expressed as body mass index). In contrast, a significant negative correlation was found in the ESRD patients between the CIMT and serum bilirubin and albumin. On the one hand, these findings could indicate an impaired defending mechanisms against oxidative stress, which are considered one of the key factors in the development of atherosclerotic process, on the other hand they indicated an important role played by nutritional status in children with ESRD. In addition, we found strong evidence for significant correlations between CIMT and proteinuria as another discussed cardiovascular risk factor in boys, but not in girls. To our...
Contribution of personals assistants for persons with poliohyetitis
Dvořáková, Marie ; Hájková, Vanda (advisor) ; Květoňová, Lea (referee)
The content of this bachelor thesis is determining of actual need of assistance for people with Cerebral Palsy and finding an answer this question: "Which is the acquisition of personal assistant for people with Cerebral Palsy?". The methodic accession contains these particular methods: theoretical study of professional literature, questionnaire research among clients and personal assistants, observation and interview. The result of practical research is detection that the personal assistants are beneficial especially in the sphere of independent living, beneficial for families, like a respite service, and like a friend for people with Cerebral Palsy.

Objectification of surgical treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome
Dvořáková, Marie ; Dudová, Agnieszka (advisor) ; Pánek, David (referee)
Title: Objectification of surgical treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome Objectives: The main aim of this work is to evaluate the effectiveness of surgical treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. Methods: In this work was used a two-point discrimination test, that evaluated tactile sensory of the hand with carpal tunnel syndrome. It evaluated the change of discriminatory sensation after surgical treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. The results of testing were evaluated by using the SigmaPlot statistic program SigmaStat 9.01 to 3.1 integration. Results: Research found that two-point discrimination in region of median nerve innervated is improved by surgical treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome, it improves the tactile sensory of the hand, which is impaired by carpal tunnel syndrome. Effect of physiotherapy on improvement of the discriminatory sensation after surgery was not demonstrated. However, the physiotherapy after surgical treatment of carpal tunnel syndrom is important. Keywords: carpal tunnel syndrome, sensory discrimination, a two-point discrimination test
MRP transporters in the placenta
Dvořáková, Marie ; Čečková, Martina (advisor) ; Pávek, Petr (referee)
The MRP mebrane proteins, which belong to the ABC transporter family, comprise currently 9 members. The MRP transport proteins are expressed in various tissues of the organism, including placenta. The major physiological role of the multidrug transporters is the transport of many endogenous and exogenous compounds, including drugs, across the cell membrane. This thesis summarizes up to date information concerning expression and function MRP transporters in placenta a and in other tisssues in organism. Only five MRP transporters have been detected in placenta, namely MRP1, MRP2, MRP3, MRP5 a MRP8. Expression of all this proteins in placenta changes with progress of the pregnancy. MRP transporters help to protect fetus from potentially toxic substances, on the other hand some of them can facilitate the passage of substances across placenta. Some MRPs possess specific physiological functions in placenta. For example, MRP1 influences apoptosis, MRP5 participates in NO-dependent vasodilatation in fetal vessels.
Financial Management Analysis of Regions in the Czech Republic and Relatioship to Regional Development Funding
Dvořáková, Marie ; Peková, Jitka (advisor) ; Pucandlová, Miroslava (referee)
Hereby presented diploma thesis discusses the financial management of Czech regions (more accurately "higher-level territorial administrative units") focusing on regional development funding, particularly demonstrated by the example of the South Moravian Region. Through a study of regional financial management the regional budget's income and expenditure have been thoroughly examined, especially those governable by the regions themselves. During the analysis of the South Moravian Region financial system the main focus has been aimed at its regional funding policy outlined by the corresponding strategic documentation entitled South Moravian Region Development Plan. The actual support for regional development in South Moravian Region is financed by the region's budget and a special-purpose fund named Development Fund of South Moravian Region.

Analysis of approved projects implemented in Regional Operational Programme NUTS II South-East
Dvořáková, Marie ; Wokoun, René (advisor) ; Paláčková, Jana (referee)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the impacts approved projects in ROP NUTS II South-East in programming period 2007 -- 2013. First the regional operational programme itself and its implementing structure are characterized. Afterwards the project evaluations are performed using the methods of quantitative and financial analysis. Finally the impacts of realized projects are evaluated by applying monitoring indicators.
