Leisure activities of second degree primary school pupils from socially disadvantaged background

The bachelor's thesis on the topic Leisure activities of children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds focuses on how children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds spend their free time. Thesis objective is finding out what activities the second grade students from this environment choose and if and how often they use the free time activity offerings at school or nearby institutions. Last but not least, find out if the free time aktivity offerings of school and surrounding institutions are sufficient, or what other free time activities the pupils would be interested in. The thesis is divided into two chapters, a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part defines the concepts of free time, it's functions and the importance of leisure time education. It also deals with social disadvantage and identifying pupils from a socially disadvantaged environment, which was key for the practical part and choosing the research respondents. The second chapter describes the research group and the evaluation of acquired research data. The research part contains the results of a questionnaire survey, describing how children from socially disadvantaged environment spend their free time, which institutions these children visit and what leisure activities they prefer. This Bachelor thesis is dealing with the use of research-oriented teaching during hobbies as part of leisure activities in the field of natural sciences, especially chemistry. Nowadays is noticeable trend to start with research activities and building relation to natural and technical sciences at very young age of students. In the theoretical part the thesis describe principles and forms of research-oriented teaching and their realization, lecturer qualification conditions and work safety during the experiments in the hobby, development of students potential during younger school age, specifics of this students period and characterizes leisure activities in detail and their delineation in relation to formal education. Part of the practical part is a local survey of the accessibility of research-oriented clubs in the Polepy and Libochovice districts. The diploma thesis focuses on the perception of poverty among the pupils of the second grade of the selected primary school - Primary School and Kindergarten Dolní Poustevna. Specifically, it deals with the extent to which pupils distinguish subjective perception of poverty, whether they are able to distinguish groups of people at risk of poverty, whether they are oriented in the possible assistance to people at risk of poverty. The first part explains and describes aspects of poverty, from the definition of poverty itself, to its concepts, causes, measurement, the poverty cycle and the issue of social exclusion. The portfolio includes a professional essay on the topic of Collaborative Artistic Creation between Child and Parent in a Ceramics Course. Additionally, there is a summary of the book "Čáry, klikyháky, paňáci a auta: výtvarný projev a psychický život dítěte" by Jaromír Uždil, a professional profile of a leisure-time educator, a case study of the educational institution "Dům dětí a mládeže," and preparation for a leisure-time ceramics course. The author's professional growth is mapped throughout the entire work. She drew from her experiences and milestones documented here during her studies, practice, and from professional literature. Attitudes of children in the selected facility to the issue of their placement and their experiences with addictive substances

The thesis explores the attitudes of children in a selected residential school towards the issue of their placement and their experiences of substance abuse. The theoretical part presents the definition of the term addictive substances, including their division and prevention of use; children's home with school, discusses the reasons for the placement of children in this facility and prevention of risky behavior. The practical part presents an analysis of the reasons for the placement of children in a particular facility as well as an analysis of their experiences with addictive substances before their placement in the facility. The aim is to find out what attitude children placed in a children's home with school have to the issue of the reasons for their placement and to the use of addictive substances. On the basis of the evaluation, with the help of the analysis of the case files and interviews with the selected children and their teachers, a personal development programme for each participant, a prevention programme and a proposal for projects focused on addictive substances for the first and second grade of primary school are proposed. The role of an educational counselor at a primary school from the point of view primary school pupils

The diploma thesis is focused on the role of an educational counselor in elementary school from the perspective of elementary school students. The theoretical part of the work is oriented to the system of consulting services in the Czech Republic, legislative anchoring and insight into the history of consulting services. For the coherence of the text, cooperation with a pedagogical- psychological consultancy, a special pedagogical center and an educational care center is also mentioned in the theoretical part. The theoretical part is mainly focused on the role of an educational advisor. Prerequisites and qualification requirements for the performance of the work of an educational consultant are described here, followed by the ethical principles of the work and, last but not least, the activities of an educational consultant, which are reflected in the practical part. The practical part is based on the theoretical part. It focuses on elementary school students. Quantitative research was chosen for the practical part of the thesis.
