Political ideologies in the local politics of selected Czech towns

The thesis deals with political ideologies in the local politics of selected cities in Czechia. The aim of the research is to explore whether political parties at local level are formed by political ideologies and to find out what their ideological positions are affected by. To represent political ideologies, I have chosen two ideological dimensions (the left-right economic dimension and the GAL-TAN socio-cultural dimension), of which 10 parties in 33 selected Czech cities were evaluated. The thesis is primarily based on data from the "Election calculator" for elections to municipal councils in 2022. Based on its questions, an evaluation scale was created for each dimension, which determines the ideological positions of parties in selected cities. The thesis thus verifies the applicability of the concept of ideological dimensions at the local level in Czechia. The theoretical part of the thesis describes political ideologies and the possibilities of their classification. The chapter mainly discusses the meaning and the defining characteristics of ideological dimensions. Factors that affect the ideological positions of the parties and the specifics of Czech politics are also discussed, with a focus on its local level. Data mining from incoming e-mail messages

In the present work we study possibilities of automatic sorting of incoming email communication. Our primary goal is to distinguish information about oncoming workshops and conferences, job off ers and published books. We are trying to develop tool to mine the information from data from professional mailing lists. Off ers in the mailing lists come in html, rtf or plain text format, but the information in it is written in common spoken language. We are developing the system so it will use text mining methods to extract the information and save it structured form. Than we will be able to work with it. We are examining the handling of the mails by user and apply the knowledge in the development. We solve the problems with obtaining of the messages, distinguishing language and encoding and estimating the type of message. After recognition of the bearing information we are able to mine data. In the end we save the mined information to the database, which allows us to display it in well{arranged way, sort and search according to the user needs.

Retail trade at Prague-Smíchov: spatial differentiation of convenience stores and prices of goods

This thesis addresses a specific type of retail units - convenience stores - in the locality of central Smíchov in Prague. The aim is to explore spatial differentiation of these stores and the prices of goods in them and to detect the link between the characteristics and price levels of convenience stores. The research was situated in a location strongly differentiated by its socioeconomic status, the physical environment and functional usage. This promises a revelation of significant and interesting outcomes. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the accurate definition of convenience stores and the evolution of retail in Prague with emphasis on its inner city. In the methodical part I focus on the researched area delimitation and specification and the description of the data collection and processing. The last chapter summarizes the results, which are presented mainly by maps. The work is primarily based on extensive field research and spatial data survey. The localization of the store is the main factor influencing the differentiation of convenience stores and their prices. The location on the main street is the key determinant. In this work we study the problems joined with the administration of favorite web links directory. We compare several different available systems and we describe pros and cons of these solutions. We analyze basic features of the system we created. We concern with expanding the administration to more languages and solve problems incurred by this requirement. We speculate about elements, which should be included in high-quality system, and invent means of their implementation.

This bachelor’s thesis is focused on analysing the customer satisfaction level of selected store retail chain Lidl Czech republic. The recommendations are designed to increase the level of customers satisfaction based on the results of the analysis of the marketing environment and results of customer satisfaction survey. Proposal were processed in verbal and graphical form. The proposed solutions are based on the concept of Triple Constraint.

Dual-band directional antenna for receiving DVB-T signal

The main goal of the masters project is to design a dual band antenna for receiving DVB-T signal in the area of the city of Brno. The antenna will be designed and detaily adjusted for receiving multiplex 1 and 3, exactly for frequencies of 538 MHz and 778 MHz. The designed antenna will be deeply tested in 4nec2 and CST Microwave Studio programs.
