Fragments of Landscape
Nováková, Kateřina ; Gajdošíková, Pavla (advisor) ; Sedlák, Michal (referee)
The master thesis Fragments of Landscape explores the meaning of landscape in contemporary Czech art, using an a/r/tographic approach focused on exploring artistic and pedagogical practice through artistic production. Emphasis is placed on the importance of connecting the roles of artist, researcher and teacher. The first part of the thesis introduces the method of a/r/tography, explores the definition of landscape and the characteristics associated with its value, and the contemporary artistic view of landscape within the contemporary Czech art scene. It analyses artistic approaches to landscape and classifies them into nine categories, reflecting the diverse artistic approaches, the author's view of landscape and their influence on the creation and understanding of landscape. The author's own artistic work focuses on the authorial process of landscape transformation and interpretation, based on art field research of the Jizera Mountains and the resulting creation of a network of landscape fragments. The categorization of artistic approaches is the key to understanding the complexity of the creative process. The categorisation implies that the landscape cannot be clearly framed and categorised. The thesis concludes by evaluating the importance of didactic tasks in the process of art education,...

Using blind image filtering for images from TEM microscopes

Sleep stages classification
Nováková, Kateřina ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Potočňák, Tomáš (advisor)
This work deals with the basic description of polysomnography, sleep morphology and sleep stages. Furtherly, some methods to process electroencephalographic signals are mentioned. Those processing methods are mainly focused on sleep stage classification. The practical part deals with the realization of three classification algorithms using artificial neural networks and verifying the functionality of these methods. All algorithms are designed in Matlab. Feature vectors for individual methods are obtained using energy values, Welch's spectral analysis and Hilbert-Huang Transform. For classification three types of artificial neural networks were used - layer recurrent network, feedforward network and pattern recognition network. On the basis of feature vectors, the sleep is divided into three stages - wakefulness (W), sleep without rapid eye movements (NREM) and sleep with rapid eye movements (REM).
Apartment house
Nováková, Kateřina ; Beranová, Iveta (referee) ; Matějka, Libor (advisor)
The subject of my bachelor thesis is a project of a new apartment house in Havlíčkův Brod Rozkošská street on plot no. 792/2, 802/17 and 792/5. The land is sloping and its area is 3 293 square meters. The building has three overground floors and one underground floor. Vertical constructions are designed from the concrete blocks in the underground floor and from the Porotherm system in the overground floors. The vertical peripheral structures are provided with an insulation system with ventilated space. The horizontal bearing structures are designed as a monolitic reinforced concrete slabs. The roof is designed single-layer flat. There are eight housing unit in the apartment building. In the basement there are storage spaces, boiler room and garages. The drawings were processed in a computer program ArchiCAD.
