Specific Bellman's Lost in a Forest Problem analysis
Žůrek, Daniel ; Čermák, Jan (referee) ; Hoderová, Jana (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the analysis of a selected Bellman problem known as "Lost in a Forest." Initially, it defines and presents some auxiliary theorems important for finding the shortest escape path. The main part of the thesis focuses on the construction and analysis of escape paths in various types of forests. The thesis thoroughly examines the shortest escape path in an infinite strip of forest with unit width. The results of this thesis provide new insights into the optimization of escape paths and offer formal proofs confirming that Zalgaller's path is the shortest possible escape path in the given context. Additionally, the thesis addresses the solution for a rectangular forest with an obstacle, bringing new ideas to this area.
Numerical methods for the analysis of light polarization in the solar corona
Gajdůšková, Kateřina ; Štarha, Pavel (referee) ; Hoderová, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of polarization of light in the solar corona. Photographs taken during a total solar eclipse are processed using software Matlab and the Image Processing Toolbox package. The main objective is to determine the polarized and unpolarized part of the light in the solar corona.
Numerical methods of image processing from NASA's SDO space probe
Algorithm ICP and its usage for 3D registration
Fiala, Zdeněk ; Hoderová, Jana (referee) ; Procházková, Jana (advisor)
This thesis deals with the ICP algorithm used for point cloud registration. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part summarizes the basic concepts needed for the topic. The second part describes the basic ICP algorithm and its improvements. The last section contains the implementation of the algorithm in the C# programming language and the results of testing on real data.
The behavior of functions of several variables in terms of extremes
Beseda, Jiří ; Votavová, Helena (referee) ; Hoderová, Jana (advisor)
Thesis deals with problems of extreme searching in multivariable calculus. Searching maxima/minima of the function can be moreover specified to local extremes, global extremes or strict extremes. For finding extremes we use Sylvester's criterion, which helps us investigate the behavior of functions in stationary points. Stationary point is point, where maxima or minima of the function is expected.
Testing images creation program with defined sub-pixel shift and resize precision
Extremes of Single and Multi-Variable Functions
Floderová, Hana ; Hoderová, Jana (referee) ; Štarha, Pavel (advisor)
Extremes of single and multi-variable functions are problems in which we try to solve maximum or minimum of function. Maximum and minimum of function can be local, global and by the functions of multi-variable bounded. For calculation help us derivative of function, which we put equal to zero and we get out a stationary point. The stationary point is a point, in which we suppose existence of maximum or minimum of function.
Parameter Optimization of the Modified Phase Correlation Method for Sub-pixel Image Registration
Comparison of qualitative properties of NURBS interpolation curves
Halas, David ; Procházková, Jana (referee) ; Hoderová, Jana (advisor)
This thesis deals with simple interpolation curves, which are clamped. Construction of the curves is solved by several forming tools. There is also brought procedure of their calculation. Result is comparating different interpolation methods. The thesis is useful to understanding for interpolation NURBS curves and for choosing apposite forming methods.
Image quality analysis using Fourier transform
Tkadlecová, Markéta ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (referee) ; Hoderová, Jana (advisor)
This thesis deals with two-dimensional Fourier transform and its use in digital image quality assessment. An algorithm based on amplitude spectra is introduced and tested on different sets of images. Its possible use and disadvantages are described. For understanding the basics of the algorithm the fundamental mathematical theory is included. Mainly the properties of amplitude spectra are explained. Next, the theory of digital images and their characteristics, which can affect their quality, is described. For testing the quality of the image the demonstrative program has been developed.
