Manufacturing of the hydraulic pump shaft
Nečas, Zbyněk ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of the production technology of the drive shaft of a hydraulic pump, the main element of which is the groove inside the shaft cavity. This component will be manufactured by Metaldyne Oslavany, spol. s.r.o., where the production series was set at 300,000 pieces per year. The material of the component was also specified as DIN 20CrMo5 steel, which will be purchased for production in bars with a diameter of 42 mm. The workpiece will then be cut from them using circular saws. After evaluating the specified requirements, based on the analysis of the specifications, the cold forming technology is chosen for production, specifically the combination of extrusion and upsetting, which the thesis focus on. Three basic production processes were put in place, for which their manufacturability was verified using the Simufact Forming 2023.4 simulation software. For the most suitable production variant, the flow stress, deformation resistance, and forming forces are calculated for each operation, which were then compared with the results of numerical simulation. According to the highest calculated force, a suitable machine was chosen from the company's current machine park, specifically a conventional single-operation hydraulic press SMG HZPU 320 with a nominal force of 320 tons. Then, tool sets were designed for each of the forming operations, when it was found that in all operations the die must be encapsulated using two clamps. The LP4-Kopřiva program was used to determine the optimal contact diameters, contact pressures and other encapsulation parameters.
Manufacturing of grill
Bartáček, Petr ; Císařová, Michaela (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The task was to design a disassemblable and transportable grill capable of grilling food up to 10 kg with the possibility of easy adding of charcoal. Corrosion-resistant steel 1.4301 was chosen for the material in contact with food, steel 1.0425 for heat-stressed parts, and steel 1.0038 for all other structural parts. The production technology included shearing, cutting, bending, rolling, welding, and machining using the machine park of the Institute of Manufacturing Technology at Brno University of Technology. After comparing the current market, a garden grill was designed with dimensions of 900 mm in length, 625 mm in width, and 1510 mm in height when closed, with a total weight of 78 kg and a sheet thickness of 2 mm. The drive unit, model MOT-EC 15/3-5, was chosen for its performance. The spit with forks was supplied by Kovo Janeček. The total cost of manufacturing the grill was estimated at approximately 10,000 CZK, and its transportability can be achieved using vans or larger vehicles such as SUVs or trailers.
Standardization of the copper technological forming process
Březina, Tomáš ; Císařová, Michaela (referee) ; Jopek, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the optimization of bending copper busbars in the Brno branch of the company ABB s.r.o. Busbars serve to conduct electricity and are used in high-voltage switchgears. The semi-finished busbar products are made of electrolytic copper that complies with the EN 13601 standard. Busbars are produced in various shapes and sizes according to the specifications of the switchgear. Part of the thesis involves a tensile test to determine the mechanical properties of electrolytic copper. A practical bending test was performed on a bending machine for bars with different mechanical properties. The entire bending process was simulated in Ansys Workbench software. Using the simulation, the tool stroke was optimized to achieve the desired deviation from the nominal angle. The optimized stroke was subsequently used on the bending machine to achieve the required bending accuracy.

Manufacturing of the box
Bednář, Jaroslav ; Peterková, Eva (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
This thesis concerns the design and production of a rotary-shaped soap box made of chrome-nickel austenitic steel 1.4301 0.5 mm thick, with a production batch of 50,000 boxes per year. Due to the size of the batch, the cutting and drawing technology without wall thinning was chosen for one drawing operation using a single tool. Based on analysis of the possibility of producing the tool and the necessary calculations, a tool was designed for the production of the lid and another tool was designed for the production of the lower part of the box. The corresponding hydraulic presses were then selected. A CUPS 25 DEU press from HŠV Polička with a forming force of 250 kN was selected to produce the lid and a Formetal PPCT-200 press with a forming force of 2000 kN was selected to produce the bottom part of the box. The production process is fully automated with an unwinding, straightening and scrapping line from Šmeral.
