Problematika trvale udržitelného rozvoje je v dnešní době jedním z nejdiskutovanějších témat v celé společnosti. Tato diplomová práce hodnotí přístup tří vybraných oblastí Španělska, pobřežní oblasti Costa Brava v Katalánsku, obce Calviá na ostrově Mallorca a jeskyně Altamira v Kantábrii, k trvale udržitelnému rozvoji cestovního ruchu. Dále zkoumá nástroje, které byly v těchto oblastech použity pro vypořádání se s problémem nekontrolovatelného rozvoje cestovního ruchu, zejména Integrovaný management pobřežní zóny a Lokální agendu 21. Na závěr je z uvedených příkladů vyvozeno několik doporučení, která mohou sloužit jiným destinacím cestovního ruchu při aplikaci nástrojů trvale udržitelného rozvoje. Sustainable development is discussed a lot in these days. This thesis aims at evaluating the attitude towards sustainable development of tourism in three chosen areas in Spain: the coastal area Costa Brava in Catalonia, the municipality Calviá on the island Mallorca and the cave Altamira in Cantabria. Then, it examines tools which were used in these areas to handle with the uncontrolled development of tourism, especially Integrated Costal Zone Management and Local Agenda 21. Finally, there are stated some recommendations to other destanations how to use some tools of sustainable development of tourism.
