Práce se zabývá rozvojem cestovního ruchu v Rokytnici nad Jizerou. První část teoreticky vymezuje základní předpoklady pro rozvoj cestovního ruchu. Další kapitola se věnuje obecné fyzicko-geografické a socioekonomické charakteristice města Rokytnice nad Jizerou, jeho historii a spolupráci města s ostatními subjekty a organizacemi. Dále jsou blíže popsány jednotlivé lokalizační, realizační a selektivní předpoklady pro rozvoj cestovního ruchu města a také velmi důležitý marketing. Závěrečná kapitola se věnuje konkrétním návrhům a opatřením na zlepšení cestovního ruchu Rokytnice nad Jizerou na základě zpracované SWOT analýzy, oficiálních plánů města a výsledků monitoringu spokojenosti návštěvníků. The work deals with the preconditions for tourism development in Rokytnice nad Jizerou. The first part defines the theoretical foundations for tourism development. Another chapter is devoted to a general physical-geographical and socio-economic characteristics of the town Rokytnice nad Jizerou and its history and co-operation with other towns and organizations. The next part describes localization, realization and selective conditions for tourism development in the town and also a very important marketing. The final chapter deals with specific proposals and measures to improve tourism in Rokytnice nad Jizerou based on SWOT analysis, official plans of town and results of monitoring of visitors.
