Metodika rozšiřuje 40 let starou metodu proplachu zažívacího traktu kapra obecného a vznikla z potřeby analýzy a kvantifikace potravy kapra k lepšímu pochopení jeho vlivu na fungování ekosystému rybníka a dopadu na společenstvo zooplanktonu a makrozoobentosu. The methodology extends the 40-year-old method of carp digestive tract flushing and was developed out of the need to analyse and quantify carp diet to better understand its influence on pond ecosystem functioning and impact on the zooplankton and macrozoobenthos community.
