Studie nabízí přehled významných světových empirických výzkumů zkoumajících fenomény spojené s lidským talentem, který dosud nebyl v českém prostředí k dispozici. Zabývá se samotnou definicí talentu, modely rozvoje talentu včetně intervencí, veřejných politik a hodnocení jejich dopadů. Cílem přehledu je zájemcům z okruhu širší veřejnosti srozumitelnou formou nabídnout podrobný vhled do rozsáhlé a velmi důležité problematiky. Přehled přirozeně také otevírá dlouhou řadu otázek ohledně toho, co vlastně dnes víme, spíše ještě nevíme a měli bychom vědět, ohledně fenoménu nadání v České republice. Přehled výzkumů ze světa v této oblasti tedy představuje i inspiraci a motivaci k realizaci podobných či dokonce lepších empirických výzkumů u nás. Publikace nemá ambici být vyčerpávajícím textem a poznání a výzkumy v této oblasti se navíc stále dynamičtěji po celém světě rozvíjejí. This document has been created to familiarize the reader with scientific literature that deals directly or implicitly with the education of gifted students, their specificities, and the challenges they may face in developing their talents. It focuses on the findings of literature from an economic perspective, specifically in the field of the economics of education, and with an emphasis on topics that are important in the Czech context. It offers an economic perspective on the importance of supporting gifted children for individuals and for society as a whole, explores factors that contribute to development of talent, and identifies potential obstacles faced by gifted children. It also draws on psychological and educational literature, particularly in defining talent and examining teaching practices aimed at gifted students.
