Úvodem je v práci uvedena stručná historie motorů s prodlouženou expanzí. Následně je rozebrána termodynamika ideálních oběhů s prodlouženou expanzí, která je porovnána s ideálním Ottovým oběhem. Práce se dále zabývá některými konstrukčními řešeními dosažení prodloužené expanze u spalovacího motoru. V práci jsou dále uvedeny vybrané motory s prodlouženou expanzí od předních světových výrobců. V závěru jsou v bakalářské práci řešeny systémy s variabilním kompresním poměrem. At the beginning there is a short history of over-expanded engines. Subsequently, the thermodynamics of ideal over-expanded cycles are analysed and compared with the ideal Otto cycle. The thesis also deals with some design solutions for achieving over-expansion in an internal combustion engine. In the thesis there are also selected over-expanded engines from leading world carmakers. At the end the thesis deals with systems with variable compression ratio.
