V rámci této diplomové práce je zkoumána rodina Kopeckých, jejíž rodinná tradice spojena s loutkovým divadlem. Tato diplomová práce si klade za cíl prozkoumat vnímání rodinné tradice u tří různých větví jedné rodiny. Za účelem výzkumu této problematiky je tradice zkoumána i u různých generací dané rodinné větve. Narátoři byli vybráni především tak, aby mezi sebou neměly jednotlivé rodiny užší vazby. K vedení projektu byl zvolen orálně- historický výzkum, který byl opřen o teorie výzkumu především rodinné paměti. Matěj Kopecký, někdy uváděn jako patriarcha loutkářského řemesla, byl loutkář z Mirotic. Umění loutkoherectví bylo přenášeno z generace na generaci a v současné době žije již deváté pokolení, které se počítá právě od Matěje Kopeckého. Nabízí se otázka, jak je to s rodinnou tradicí v současné době a jak je předávána? Co vlastně představuje rodinou tradici? Klíčová slova: rodina, tradice, orální historie, Matěj Kopecký, loutky, loutkové divadlo The Kopecky family, whose family tradition is associated with puppet theatre, is examined in this thesis, which aims to explore the perception of family tradition in three different branches of the same family. To research this issue, the tradition is also studied in different generations of a given family branch. The narrators were chosen primarily so that individual families did not have closer ties with each other. The theory and methodology of this research are based on concepts of oral history and family memory. Matěj Kopecký, sometimes referred to as the patriarch of the Czech puppetry, was a puppeteer from Mirotice. The art of puppeteering has been passed down from generation to generation and is currently alive for the ninth generation. It brings the question, how is the family tradition in the present and how is it passed on? What exactly constitutes a family tradition?
