Tématem práce je vliv profesionálního sportu na rodiče dětí - budoucích sportovců z hlediska jejich očekávání a důvodů výběru sportu na příkladu ledního hokeje. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je zjistit primární důvody výběru sportu pro své děti ze strany rodičů a zjistit jejich očekávání, jakým pohybovým dovednostem a jaké charakterové vlastnosti si jejich děti v oddíle osvojí. Jako výzkumná metoda byl zvolen kvantitativní výzkum pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Do výzkumu byly zapojeny tři hokejové kluby napříč různou ligovou úrovní. Výzkumný soubor tvořily dvě skupiny, přičemž jedna z nich byla skupina 140 rodičů dětí ve věku 3-15 let a druhou skupinu tvořilo 41 trenérů mládeže. Výsledky ukázaly, že hlavním důvodem výběru sportu pro své dítě je pro rodiče zájem dítěte o daný sport. Dále výsledky při podrobnější analýze ukázaly v kontextu věkové kategorie dětí, že pro rodiče dětí předškolního věku byla jako důvod angažovanosti v hokejovém klubu významnější vidina profesionální sportovní kariéry dítěte než pro rodiče starších dětí. Naopak rodiče dětí staršího školního věku dali větší váhu všestrannému a harmonickému rozvoji než rodiče mladších dětí. Dále bylo zjištěno, že rodiče přikládají velkou váhu výchovnému působení trenéra na své děti a tuto zodpovědnost si všichni trenéři uvědomují. Klíčová... The topic of the thesis is the influence of professional sport on parents of children - future athletes in terms of their expectations and reasons for choosing sport, using ice hockey as an example. The main objective of the thesis is to find out the primary reasons for parents' choice of sport for their children and to find out their expectations of what movement skills and character traits their children will develop in the club. Quantitative research using a questionnaire survey was chosen as the research method. Three hockey clubs across different league levels were involved in the research. The research sample consisted of two groups, one of which was a group of 140 parents of children aged 3-15 years and the other group consisted of 41 youth coaches. The results showed that the main reason for parents to choose a sport for their child was their child's interest in that sport. Furthermore, when analysed in more detail, the results showed in the context of the age group of the children that for parents of pre-school children, seeing their child's professional sport career was more important as a reason for involvement in a hockey club than for parents of older children.
