Tato diplomová práce se věnuje tématu konzumace zpravodajských obsahů mezi zástupci ze současné mladé generace Z v České republice. Práce si klade za cíl popsat, jakým způsobem konzumují zpravodajské obsahy vysokoškolští studenti z generace Z, jaké jsou jejich návyky při získávání aktuálních informací o celospolečenském dění a jak zástupci z generace Z vnímají problematiku zpravodajského obsahu, který nevytváří novináři, ale občanští novináři nebo influenceři. Teoretická část práce se věnuje zpravodajství, novým formám zpráv a proměnám v žurnalistice a v médiích ve 21. století. Dále popisuje, jak lidé obecně konzumují zpravodajství a jaká je generace Z. Následuje vlastní výzkum, který má dvě části. Nejprve kvantitativní metodu výzkumu, konkrétně dotazníkové šetření mezi zástupci generace Z, které si klade za cíl zodpovědět první výzkumnou otázku: Jakým způsobem konzumují zpravodajský obsah současní vysokoškolští studenti, zástupci generace Z. Na dotazníkové šetření naváže kvalitativní výzkum formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, který si klade za cíl zodpovědět druhou výzkumnou otázku práce: Jak vnímají zástupci generace Z problematiku zpravodajského obsahu, který nevytváří novináři, ale občanští novináři nebo influenceři. This diploma thesis deals with the topic of consumption of news content among representatives of the current young generation Z in the Czech Republic. The thesis aims to describe how university students from generation Z consume news content, what are their habits when obtaining current information and how representatives from generation Z perceive the issue of news content that is not created by journalists, but by citizen journalists or influencers. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to news, new formats and changes in journalism and in the media in the 21st century. Then it describes how people consume news and the characteristics of Generation Z. Theory is followed by research, which has two parts. First, a quantitative research method, specifically i tis a questionnaire survey among representatives of generation Z, which aims to answer the first research question: How do current university students, representatives of generation Z, consume news content.
