Diplomová práce se zabývá individuálním vzděláváním v domácím prostředí jakožto možnou alternativou výuky dětí. Popisuje historii a počátky domácího vzdělávání v Evropě a Spojených státech amerických. Věnuje se také alternativním způsobům výuky, školství i jeho moderním trendům. Představuje názory na výuku českých a amerických rodičů, kteří sami učí své děti. Zaměřuje se na porovnání přístupu k domácímu vzdělávání v České republice a USA a snaží se zachytit jejich shodné markanty. The diploma thesis deals with individual education in the home environment as a possible alternative to teaching children. Describes the history and origins of homeschooling in Europe and the United States. He is also devoted to alternative methods of teaching, education and its modern trends. It presents the opinions of Czech and American parents who teach their children themselves. It focuses on comparing the approach to home education in the Czech Republic and the USA and tries to capture their common features.
