Tato bakalářská práce sestává z překladu čtyř vybraných kapitol z německé knihy Veganismus autora Christiana Koedera z roku 2014 a odborného komentáře. Výchozí text má čtenářům nabídnout co možná nejucelenější informace o veganství, autor představuje motivace k přechodu na tento životní styl, potenciální zdravotní problémy způsobené nevyváženou stravou či aktivistické organizace. Pro účely této práce byly vybrány kapitoly Tierliebe, Schadstoffe, Allergien a Ersetzen. Odborný komentář se skládá z fiktivní překladatelské zakázky, překladatelské analýzy výchozího textu, stanovení koncepce překladu a popisu překladatelských problémů a posunů. Komentář je doplněn o příklady z výchozího textu a překladu. The book aims at providing a complete overview of veganism, with the author presenting motives for a vegan lifestyle, possible health consequences of an unbalanced plant-based diet as well as animal rights movements. The following chapters have been chosen for this thesis: Tierliebe, Schadstoffe, Allergien and Ersetzen. The commentary consists of a potential fictional commission, a translation analysis of the source text, a translation strategy and the description of translation problems and translation shifts. The theoretical part is supported by examples from both the source text and the translation.
