Tato diplomová práce pojednává o didaktickém potenciálu Písně ledu a ohně amerického spisovatele George R. R. Martina a je zaměřuje se na střední školy. Jejím cílem je ukázat, do jaké míry může být Martinova sága, potažmo i její seriálové zpracování, využitelná pro výuku nejen literatury, ale i dalších předmětů, a zároveň připravit konkrétní lekce, které mohou učitelé ihned využít ve svých hodinách. V první části je vymezen pojem fantasy a jsou uvedena základní data o autorově životě, především ta, která mají vliv na jeho pozdější tvorbu. Dále jsou zde zmíněny a stručně charakterizovány reálie ze světa, v němž se sága odehrává, stejně tak je zde představeno šest hlavních postav celého příběhu. Jsou zde také shrnuta ta díla, která sice nepatří do hlavní linie samotné ságy, ale spadají do širšího okruhu děl, která se věnují Západozemí, tedy fikčnímu světu Písně ledu a ohně. V druhé části jsou navrženy jednotlivé výukové lekce, v nichž žáci střední školy pracují s úryvky textů Písně ledu a ohně a pomocí různých metod a aktivit, jako jsou myšlenkové mapy, obrázkové kvízy a další, jsou vedeni k cílům, které přesahují běžný rámec literární výchovy. Celkem je v této práci zpracováno osm výukových lekcí, z nichž jedna je koncipována jako dvouhodinová lekce. V lekcí jsou zastoupena různá společensky... This diploma thesis deals with the didactic potential of A Song of Ice and Fire by the American writer George R. R. Martin and focuses on high schools. Its goal is to show to what extent Martin's saga, and therefore its series adaptation, can be used for teaching not only literature, but also other subjects, and at the same time prepare specific lessons that teachers can immediately use in their classes. The first part defines the concept of fantasy and provides basic data about the author's life, especially those that affect his later work. Furthermore, the realities from the world in which the saga takes place are mentioned and briefly characterized, as well as the six main characters of the whole story are presented here. It also summarizes those works that do not belong to the main line of the saga itself, but fall into a wider range of works that deal with the Westeros, the fictional world of A Song of Ice and Fire. In the second part, individual lessons are proposed, in which high school students work with excerpts of the texts from A Songs of Ice and Fire and through various methods and activities such as mind maps, picture quizes and others are guided to goals that go beyond the normal framework of literary education.
