Tato diplomová práce se primárně zaměřuje na analýzu filmových zpracování vybraných případů sériových vrahů ze 70. let na území Spojených států (Zodiac, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, David Berkowitz a Jeffrey Dahmer). Hlavním cílem je pak postihnout prezentaci tohoto patologického jevu, který zaznamenal vzestup právě v 70. letech, prostřednictvím klasifikace sestavené z poznatků naratologie / literární teorie. Prezentace pak je dále realizována komparací těchto pěti souborů vybraných filmových zpracování s důrazem na zaznamenání rozdílů a společných prvků v žánrové a tematické rovině, v perspektivě narace (fokalizaci), explicitnosti, schopnosti vyprávět obrazem i v rekonstrukci fikčních světů. Nedílnou součástí práce je i teoretická část, ve které jsou definovány základní pojmy problematiky a případové studie zmíněných pěti případů obsahující jejich reálie. Tímto postupem tak lze lépe zaznamenat odklon fikčních světů od reality. Popsanou analýzou byla sestavena typologie filmové prezentace této problematiky a prostřednictvím studií z příslušných databází byly popsány další dílčí okruhy - dlouhodobá relevance tématu, fascinace veřejnosti i médií tímto patologickým jevem. This thesis primarily focuses on the analysis of film adaptations of selected serial killer cases which have taken place in the USA in the 1970s (The Zodiac Killer, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, David Berkowitz and Jeffrey Dahmer). Its main aim is to delineate the presentation of this pathological phenomenon, which especially came to prominence in the 1970s, through a classification built on the findings of narratology/literary theory. The presentation is then further realised through the comparison of the five sets of selected film adaptations with an emphasis on recording their differences and common features on the level of genre and themes, in the perspective of the narration (focalisation), in explicitness, in the capability of storytelling through images, and in the reconstruction of fictional worlds. A theoretical section, which defines basic terminology of the researched area and contains the case studies of the aforementioned five cases, also containing their realities, is an inherent component of the thesis. Through this method, it is possible to record movements of fictional worlds away from reality more effectively.
