Tato diplomová práce se zabývá pěstounskou péčí a vzděláváním pěstounů. Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnotit, zda jsou pěstouni spokojeni s nabízenými tématy a délkou povinného průběžného vzdělávání. Dílčím cílem práce je popsat největší problémy dětí žijících v pěstounské péči, související se školou a školní přípravou a poukázat na tyto problémy vytvořením kazuistiky. Teoretická část je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol a je založena na studiu odborné literatury. První kapitola se věnuje obecně tématu pěstounské péče a žádosti o pěstounskou péči. Druhá kapitola se již více zaměřuje na samotného pěstouna a jeho přípravu. Ve třetí kapitole je věnována pozornost samotnému vzdělávání pěstounů a doprovázejícím organizacím. Čtvrtá kapitola se zabývá charakteristikou dětí v pěstounské péči a jejich školními a výchovnými problémy. Praktická část se zaměřuje na vlastní výzkum. V rámci empirické části bylo realizováno výzkumné šetření s kombinací kvalitativních a kvantitativních prvků. Sběr dat byl proveden formou vlastního pozorování, dotazníkového šetření a polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Během analýzy dat bylo zjištěno, že by pěstouni s několikaletou praxí uvítali, když by délka povinného průběžného vzdělávání byla přizpůsobena jejich zkušenostem, praxi a skutečným požadavkům. The main aim of the thesis is to evaluate whether foster carers are satisfied with the topics offered and the length of the mandatory continuing education. A sub-objective of the thesis is to describe the biggest problems of children in foster care related to school and school preparation and to highlight these problems by creating a case study. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters and is based on a study of the literature. The first chapter deals with the general topic of foster care and the application for foster care. The second chapter focuses more on the foster carer himself and his preparation. The third chapter focuses on the foster carers' training and the accompanying organizations. The fourth chapter deals with the characteristics of children in foster care and their school and educational problems. The practical section focuses on the research itself. In the empirical part, a research investigation was conducted with a combination of qualitative and quantitative elements.
