Většina evropského obyvatelstva a polovina obyvatelstva světového žije ve městech a jejich podíl bude pravděpodobně dále stoupat (UN, 2010). S rostoucí urbanizací se tak městská zeleň stává pro stále více lidí nejdosažitelnějším prostředkem kontaktu s "přírodou". Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo pokusit se zjistit, jaké faktory ovlivňují rekreační využívání městské zeleně, přičemž jako hlavní faktor byla předpokládána dostupnost zeleně, tzn. její množství v okolí bydliště. Základem byla dostupná literatura na toto téma konfrontovaná s výstupy z monitoringu návštěvnosti, který probíhal v pěti pražských lesích mezi květnem 2009 a dubnem 2010 a který navazoval na dlouhou řadu studií prováděných mj. Ústavem pro životní prostředí PřF UK většinou formou diplomových prací v pražských lesích a českých národních parcích. Zvláštní pozornost byla v předkládané práci věnována datům z Prokopského údolí, v němž autorka monitoring návštěvnosti koordinovala. Během 12 sčítacích dní prošlo resp. projelo křižovatkou hlavního sčítacího stanoviště v Prokopském údolí 14 359 návštěvníků - z toho 59% pěších a 41% cyklistů, dále 868 psů, 388 automobilů a 456 kočárků. Celková odhadovaná návštěvnost Prokopského údolí činí 1 219 163 návštěvníků ročně (ÚEP, 2010b). Nejběžnějším návštěvníkem Prokopského údolí byla... Most of the European population and half of the world population lives in cities and their share will probably continue to increase (UN, 2010). With increasing urbanization, urban green spaces are becoming the most available means of contact with "nature" for more and more people. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to try to determine which factors affect the recreational use of urban green spaces. As the main factor was expected the availability of green spaces, ie. their quantity in the area of residence. The basis of the thesis was available literature on this subject, confronted with the outcomes of visitors monitoring in five forests in Prague between May 2009 and April 2010. The visitors monitoring followed a long series of studies, which were executed mainly by Institute for Enviromental Studies, Faculty of Science,Charles University, mostly as a dissertation thesises, in Prague forests and in Czech national parks. In this submitted thesis, particular attention was paid to data from the Prokopske udoli, where the author coordinated the visitors monitoring.
