Bakalářská práce pojednává o řízení věkové struktury pracovníků ve strojírenství, které je v současnosti problematickou oblastí řízení lidských zdrojů. Dále představuje koncepty zabývající se věkovou tematikou (age management, diversity management) ale i tematikou nástupnictví a talent managementu. Specifikum strojírenské výroby práce uvádí z pohledu obecných charakteristik tohoto odvětví a v návaznosti na postavení absolventů a seniorů, kteří jsou v této oblasti zaměstnáváni. Součástí práce je kvalitativní šetření řízení věkové struktury ve vybraných strojírenských organizacích, kterým byly pomocí rozhovorů s představiteli personálních útvarů a pracovníky zjišťovány postupy, podle nichž se malé a střední organizace se zaměřením na strojírenskou výrobu v okrese Benešov řídí v oblasti věkové struktury. The thesis introduces topics related to age (age management, diversity management), but also the topics of succession and talent management. The thesis observes the specifics of mechanical engineering from the point of view of the general industry, and then more specifically, considering the status of graduates and seniors employed in the industry. The thesis contains a quantitative research of age structure management in the selected organizations which were the talks with the representatives of HR bodies and workers resulted in the identification of procedures that guide the decisions about age structure in small and medium-sized mechanical engineering oriented companies in the Benešov region.
