Práce představuje romské ženy jako vhodnou cílovou skupinu celoživotního učení a zdůrazňuje roli vzdělávání žen při snahách o iniciaci sociální změny v romských komunitách. Vzdělávání romských žen může být efektivní a mít významný dopad na celou romskou komunitu v případě, že je realizováno poučeně a s respektem k jejich pozici v komunitě, socioekonomické situaci a etnicitě. Práce se zaměřuje na současné postavení romské národnostní menšiny a především romských žen v České republice. Předkládá obraz romské ženy, vykresluje kontext jejího života i koncept vícenásobného znevýhodnění, kterému čelí. Zamýšlí se nad úlohou vzdělávání při snaze o sociální začleňování i zmocňování žen a uvádí příklady úspěšných iniciativ z několika zemí světa. V poslední kapitole práce přináší rady pro jakékoli budoucí vzdělavatele této specifické cílové skupiny, jak vzdělání plánovat a realizovat. This thesis introduces Romani women as an eligible target group for the lifelong learning and emphasizes the role of women when trying to initiate social change in Roma communities. Education of Roma women can be effective and have a significant impact on the entire Roma community in case that it is implemented considering their role and position in communities, their socio economic status and their ethnicity. The thesis focuses on the current situation of the Roma minority and especially Roma women in the Czech Republic. It presents an image of Roma women, portrays the context of her life as well as the concept of multiple disadvantages Roma women face. It examines the role of education in the pursuit of social inclusion and empowerment of women and provides examples of successful initiatives from several countries. The last chapter provides advice for any future educators of this specific target group, how to plan and implement the education.
