Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl zaměřit se především na vztah umění a vědy v kontextu filozofie umění Jana Patočky. Podle Patočkových úvah je vývoj umění rozdělen do tří historických období; staršího, moderního a soudobého. Patočka zároveň uvádí dvě kulturní epochy. Jednou je epocha umělecká, ve které je pro umění zásadní náboženský smysl a objektivní pravda. V 19. století pak dochází k přechodu v epochu estetickou, ve které se umění vyznačuje projevem subjektivního individuálního smyslu, zatímco věda subjektivitu a individuálnost vylučuje. V souvislosti s tím bude pojednáno o dialektickém vztahu umění a vědy. Závěrečná část práce se bude soustředit na rozbor Patočkových názorů na soudobé umění, které je výrazně ovlivněno právě vědou a technikou. According to Patočka's reasoning, the development of art is divided into three historical periods; older, modern and contemporary. Patočka also presents two cultural epochs. One is an artistic epoch in which religious sense and objective truth are essential to art. In the 19th century, there is a transition into an aesthetic epoch in which art is characterized by the expression of a subjective individual sense, while science excludes subjectivity and individuality. In connection with this, the dialectical relationship between art and science will be discussed. The final part of the work will focus on the analysis of Patočka's views on contemporary art, which is strongly influenced by science and technology.
