Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá zobrazením antiky v historickém románu Jarmily Loukotkové. Práce nejprve vymezuje pojem "historický román" a jeho tradici, s důrazem na jeho vývoj v českých zemích. Další část práce se zaměřuje na osobnost Jarmily Loukotkové a její činnost v literární oblasti. V následující části své bakalářské práce se budu věnovat historickému období, o němž pojednávají vybrané romány spisovatelky. Následuje analýza historických románů Jarmily Loukotkové z antického období, konkrétně děl Není římského lidu (1949) a Pod maskou smích (1977), zejména z hlediska jejich historické věrohodnosti. Historickou fikci budu porovnávat s prameny, které pojednávají o období, do nichž jsou romány zasazeny. Pro komparaci jsem použila Tacitovy Letopisy, Polybiovi Dějiny IV, Plútarchovy paralelní Životopisy slavných Řeků a Římanů a Suetoniovy Životopisy dvanácti císařů. Poslední část mé bakalářské práce se bude věnovat tomu, jak je ve vybraných románech J. Loukotkové zobrazena každodennost antického Říma. Zaměřím se zejména na to, jak je v románech ošetřeno soužití muže a ženy. The work first defines the concept of the "historical novelˮ and its tradition, with an emphasis on its development in the Czech lands. The next part of the work focuses on the personality of Jarmila Loukotková and her work in the literary field. In the last part the bachelor thesis focuses on the historical period discussed in selected novels by the writer. This is followed by an analysis of the historical novels about the ancient period, namely There is no Roman people (1949) and Laughter underneath a mask (1977), in terms of historical credibility. For comparison, I used Tacitus's Annales, Polybius's History IV, Plutarch's Parallel Biographies of Famous Greeks and Romans, and Suetoniusʼs Biographies of Twelve Emperors. The last part of my bachelor's thesis will focus on how the everyday life of ancient Rome is depicted in selected novels by J. Loukotková. I will pay the greatest attention to how the coexistence of man and woman is treated in the novels.
