Antonín Zápotocký nebyl pouze komunistickým politikem a druhým komunistickým prezidentem Československa. Za svůj život napsal řadu knih, mezi něž patřila i románová trilogie pojednávající o dějinách dělnického hnutí v českých zemích. Tyto knihy byly zdramatizovány a uvedeny na prknech významných československých divadel. Taktéž byly zfilmovány a uvedeny i v kinech mimo Československo. Tato práce si bere za cíl seznámit čtenáře s beletristickým dílem A. Zápotockého a jeho adaptací jak divadelních, tak filmových. Jedná se totiž o další ze střípků do mozaiky kulturní historie minulého století a o snahu zachytit druhou tvář druhého komunistického prezidenta Československé republiky. Antonín Zápotocký wasn't just a communistic politician and the second communistic president of Czechoslovakia. He wrote several books during his life, among them belong trilogy about history of labour movement in Czech lands. These books were dramatized and presented in important Czechoslovak's theatres. Also, they were cinematized and presented even in cinemas out of Czechoslovakia. The aim of this bachelor's theses is to introduce the literaly work of Antonín Zápotocký and of adaptations for theatre and cinema. This work is another piece of fragment to mosaic of cultural history last century and of endeavour to portray the second face of the second communistic president of Czechoslovak republic.
