The second term of the presidency of Barack Obama was an active phase of interactions among Russia, the United States, and China. At that time, many issues came up to be able to shake the international situation (e.g., the rise of ISIS, the South China Sea issue, the THAAD, TPP, Ukrainian crisis). The author selected four issues (trade, counterterrorism, the South China Sea issue, the THAAD) to analyze how the states were interacting among themselves (Russia-US, US-China, China-Russia) and how it influenced the international order. Two basic international theories will be applied - realism and liberalism (offensive realism, neo-liberal institutionalism, economic interdependency, and theory of triangle) to understand the interactions and discuss them. Období druhého prezidentství Baracka Obamy bylo aktivní fází, která se vyznačovala častými interakcemi mezi Ruskem, Spojenými Státy Americkými a Čínou. Během tohoto období se objevilo mnoho skutečností, které byly schopny otřást mezinárodní situací (růst působení Islámského státu, problémy v Jihočínském moři, THAAD, Transpacifické partnerství, Ukrajinská krize). Autorka zvolila čtyři tematické okruhy (obchod, boj proti terorismu, problémy v Jihočínském moři a THAAD), na nichž analyzuje, jak výše jmenované státy mezi sebou spolupracovaly, jak na sebe vzájemně působily a jak ovlivňovaly mezinárodní řád. V práci jsou aplikovány dvě základní teorie mezinárodních vztahů - realismus a liberalismus (ofenzivní realismus, neoliberální institucionalismus, ekonomická interdependence a teorie trojúhelníku), které pomáhají objasnit a pochopit jednání jednotlivých států.
