Kůže je přirozenou a účinnou bariérou těla proti nežádoucím vlivům vnějšího prostředí. Což ale vyžaduje její neustálou regeneraci a v případě poškození i reparaci. K tomu přispívají kmenové buňky uložené v epidermis, vlasových folikulech i dermis. Podobně jako u jiných kmenových buněk i tyto se vyznačují tzv. kmenovostí, tedy schopností sebeobnovy a diferenciace do jiných buněčných typů, čímž zajišťují zdroj buněk pro kožní obnovu. Během stárnutí dochází vlivem vnitřních i vnějších faktorů (hlavně díky oxidativnímu stresu a poškození DNA) ke ztrátě integrity a funkčnosti kožní bariéry. Tento proces souvisí mimo jiné i se snížením počtu a funkce kožních kmenových buněk. V dnešní době je vyvíjena řada léčebných přístupů, které kmenové buňky využívají, zároveň je ale zřejmé, že i jejich původ významně ovlivňuje jejich využití. Je tedy nezbytné dobře pochopit specifické vlastnosti funkce právě kožních kmenových buněk, chceme-li vlastnosti kůže modulovat. Cílem této práce je vypracování přehledné literární rešerše, které obsáhne téma kožních kmenových buněk, jejich úlohy v procesech regenerace a reparace a jejich roli ve stárnutí. Práce se bude také věnovat problematice kožních případně i jiných typů kmenových buněk pro regulaci či zlepšení patofyziologických stavů kůže, včetně projevů (foto)stárnutí,... During aging, due to internal and external factors (mainly due to oxidative stress and DNA damage), the integrity and functionality of the skin barrier are lost. This process is related, among other things, to a reduction in the number and function of skin stem cells. Today several therapeutic approaches are being developed that use stem cells, but at the same time, it is clear that their origin also significantly affects their use. Therefore is necessary to have a good understanding of the specific properties of the function of skin stem cells to modulate the properties of the skin. This work aims to create a review of scientific literature, which covers the topic of skin stem cells, their role in the processes of regeneration and repair and their role in aging.
