Tématem práce je srovnání přístupu k anglickým výpůjčkám v českém a dánském jazykovém prostředí. Ve snaze poskytnout celistvý obraz zkoumané problematiky se na proces přejímání anglicismů do obou jazyků nahlíží z několika rozdílných úhlů. První část práce je věnována popisu diachronního vývoje češtiny a dánštiny, a to především vlivu cizích jazyků na jejich slovní zásobu. Zde je také vymezena používaná terminologie a zároveň je popsán teoretický rámec práce, tedy způsoby obohacování slovní zásoby a rozdělení výpůjček z cizích jazyků. Druhá část práce je věnována pohledu sociolingvistickému, popsána je jazyková politika obou zemí, přístup jazykových institucí a ústřední témata, jež jsou příznačná pro současnou jazykovou situaci v České republice a v Dánsku. Třetí část pak popisuje formální adaptaci anglicismů v češtině a dánštině z hlediska morfologického, ortografického, fonetického a syntaktického. V poslední kapitole je věnován prostor vyhodnocení ankety, která představuje praktickou část této diplomové práce. Teoretická část práce byla zpracována pomocí metody literární rešerše a praktická část pomocí metody dotazování. Jelikož se práce zabývá dvěma jazyky zároveň, v celé práci byla použita také metoda srovnávání. Klíčová slova: anglicismy, čeština, dánština, přejímání cizích slov, strategie... The topic of this thesis is a comparison of attitude to English loanwords in Czech and Danish. The process of adopting anglicisms into both languages is viewed from several different angles in effort to provide a complex picture of the researched issue. The first part is devoted to the description of the diachronic development of Czech and Danish, especially to the influence of foreign languages on their vocabulary. In this part there is also defined used terminology and the theoretical framework is described, i.e. ways of enriching vocabulary and characterization of borrowings from foreign languages. The second part is devoted to the sociolinguistic view, i.e. the language policy of both countries, the approach of language institutions. In this section there are also described some central topics that are typical for the current linguistic situation in the Czech Republic and Denmark. The third part describes the formal adaptation of anglicisms in Czech and Danish from the morphological, orthographic, phonetic and syntactic point of view. The last chapter is devoted to the evaluation of the survey, which represents the practical part of this thesis.
