Práce se věnuje hodnocení činnosti a významu Česko-německého fondu budoucnosti jakožto jednoho z klíčových činitelů prohlubování a utužování česko-německých vztahů, přičemž charakterizuje tuto instituci pomocí konceptů soft power a rekonciliace. Zdroje soft power přímo propojuje s jednotlivými aspekty instituce, které její charakter spoluutvářejí. Konkrétně se jedná o zdroje zahraniční politiky, kultury a politických hodnot, které práce spojuje s prodlužováním činnosti Fondu, Česko-německou novinářskou cenou a vyhlašováním tématu roku. Česko-německý fond budoucnosti vznikl na základě Česko-německé deklarace a jeho doba činnosti byla původně omezena na 10 let. Od svého založení v roce 1997 byl však již dvakrát prodloužen. Hlavním cílem práce je analyzovat charakter Česko-německého fondu budoucnosti jako ojedinělé organizace svého druhu na pozadí vývoje vzájemného česko-německého vztahu. Kromě hlavního konceptu soft power pracuje s konceptem rekonciliace, konkrétně se čtyřmi fázemi institučního vývoje podle Lily Gardner Feldman: ohraničení, růst, konsolidace a přehodnocení. Oba dva koncepty jsou v práci propojeny a blíže zkoumají všechny tři hlavní aspekty. Práce se blíže zabývá obdobím od roku 2005, kdy započaly první diskuse o prodloužení činnosti Fondu, až po rok 2018, v němž proběhl poslední... The thesis evaluates the work and the meaning of the Czech-German Future Fund as one of the key players in the role of deepening and hardening the Czech-German relations. The institution is characterized by the concepts of the soft power and of the reconciliation. The sources of the soft power are directly connected with the concept of the reconciliation. Namely it works with the sources of the foreign policy, the culture and the political values. These are connected with the prolongation of the Fund, Czech-German Journalist Prices and the announcement of the Topic of the Year. The Czech-German Fund was established on the basis of the Czech-German Declaration and its time of existence was initially restricted to 10 years. However, since its establishment in the year 1997 its existence has been extended twice already. The main aim of the work is to characterize the Czech- German Future Fund as a unique organisation of its kind on the background of the evolution of the Czech-German relationship. Besides the main concept of the soft power the work uses the concept of the reconciliation. Especially the four phases of the institution evaluation after the model of Lily Gardner Feldman: circumscription, growth, consolidation, revaluation.
