Fosfor hraje velmi důležitou roli v rostlinném metabolismu. Je aktivní jako donor energie a důležitým komponentem ve struktuře sloučenin. Sloučeniny fosforu jsou obtížně přijatelné pro rostlinné kořeny. Proto rostliny vyvinuly několik strategií k získávání fosforu z půdu. Oni mohou modifikovat kořenovou strukturu, vylučovat kořenové exudáty zvyšující rozpustnost fosforečných sloučenin v kořenové rhizosféře. Phosphorus play very important role in plant metabolism. It is active as energy transporter and important structural component. Phosphate is relatively unavailable to plant roots. Thus plants have evolved several strategies for obtaining P from the soil. They can modify root structure and function, excrete root exudates helping with solubilization of P compounds in root rhizosphere.
