Abstrakt: [cze][eng] Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje politickým hnutím a jejich vývoji v Keni od dvacátých let dvacátého století až k vyústění povstání Mau Mau. Cílem je charakterizovat a následně analyzovat hlavní problémy v Keni ve dvacátých a třicátých letech 20. století. První část práce představuje téma a následně se věnuje především kikujskému kmenu. Druhá část uvádí první politická uskupení a představuje Harryho Thukua, zakladatele několika politických sdružení. Poslední část se soustředí na Jomo Kenyattu, klíčovou postavu keňských dějin, a jeho působení v Londýně. Dále se práce zaměřuje na radikalizaci politických hnutí a jejich aktivity, které dospěly až k povstání Mau Mau. The aim is to characterize and then to analyze the main problems in Kenya in the 1920s and 1930s. The first part of the thesis presents the thema and then focuses mainly on the kikuyu tribe. The second part introduces the first political movements and deals primarily with Harry Thuku, the founder of a few political associations. The last part is focused on Jomo Kenyatta, the main chcaracter of kenyan history and his work in London. Then the thesis is focused on radicalization of the political movements and their activities which came to the Mau Mau uprising.
