cze Abstract:
Finální verzi dotazníku vyplnilo 247 respondentů, z toho 76 zástupců Generace X a 171 zástupců Generace Y. Vytvořený nástroj zjišťoval odlišnosti motivace a pracovních preferencí jednotlivých generací na deseti škálách. Výsledky zkoumání ukazují odlišnosti mezi zástupci generací X a Y na...In recent days, the Generation X (born between 1964 - 1982) and Generation Y (born between 1983 and 1999) have become a timely topic. They are beginning to interact with the workplace and the generational differences in work values are being discussed, especially in relation to Generation Y. Generation Y is most commonly defined as the generation that grew up in the era of Internet and the advent of modern technology. Generation X is the one that is learning to live with modern technology. Many studies have shown contradictory results regarding the motivations and work preferences of these generations. For this reason, the aim of this work was to map the work preferences for each of the generations using a sample of the Czech population. For the purposes of this generational study, a questionnaire was created and two pilot studies were conducted. The final version of the questionnaire was completed by 247 respondents, of which 76 were representatives of Generation X and 171 were representatives of Generation Y. The questionnaire study investigated the differences in motivations and job preferences of each generation using ten scales. Data from the research were analyzed by using a regression analysis that included the following five possible predictors: generation, education, gender, working while...
