Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá správním vývojem pěti okresních četnických velitelství (Benešov, Český Brod, Vlašim, Jílové, Říčany), která tvořila mezi léty 1918 - 1945 obvod četnického oddělení Benešov u Prahy. Cílem práce je přiblížit podobu a fungování těchto útvarů v rámci struktury četnictva v českých zemích a pokusit se vysvětlit případná specifika, která jejich existenci provázela. Při tom je kladen důraz rovněž na osobnosti a kariéry jednotlivých okresních četnických velitelů. Po představení charakteru a správních dějin četnictva od poloviny devatenáctého století do roku 1945 následuje kapitola věnující se historickému vývoji regionů Benešovska, Vlašimska, Českobrodska, Jílovska a Říčanska především v letech 1918-1945. Na jejím podkladě je poté představeno velitelství četnického oddělení Benešov a pět okresních četnických velitelství, která mu podléhala, vše pomocí metody komparativní a normativně-komparativní s částečným využitím některých sociologických a psychologických přístupů. Instituce okresních četnických velitelů se objevila již před rokem 1918, ale teprve po vzniku republiky byla spojena s důstojnickou hodností. Pro okresní velitele byla vymezena kategorie důstojníků výkonných vedle vyšší kategorie důstojníků správních. Výzkum vybraných okresních velitelství ukázal, že tyto osoby až... This diploma thesis focuses on administration developement of five district gendarmerie commands (Benešov, Český Brod, Vlašim, Jílové u Prahy, Říčany u Prahy) which were a part of gendarmerie departement Benešov u Prahy during 1918-1945. The aim of the work is to introduce their form and activities within the whole gendarmerie organization in the Czech lands and try to explain their specifics if there were any. There is emphasise on personalities and careers of district gendarmerie commanders. After introducing character and history of administration since half of the nineteenth century till 1945 there is a chapter which concerns on historical developement of Benešov, Vlašim, Český Brod, Jílové and Říčany regions especially during 1918-1945. On the basis of that there will be described and evaluated the command of gendarmerie departement Benešov and five district gendarmerie commands. This thesis is based on comparative, normative-comparative method with an application of some sociological and psychological approaches. The institute of district gendarmerie commanders appeared before 1918 but they were no officers until the establishment of Czechoslovakia.
