Bakalářská práce Mučedníci žánrových pastí se zabývá analýzou filmu Pascala Laugiera Mučedníci jakožto ojedinělého transgresivního díla, jež díky své rozpolcenosti mezi žánrem a nežánrem expanduje i do velmi rozdílných diskurzů. Vymezuje jeho pozici v rámci hororu jako krizového narativu, na jehož utváření mají vliv dobové podmínky, a zasazuje jej do kontextu současného evropského hororu a integrující autorské vize. Samotná analýza se pak zaměřuje na inovativní přístup k žánrovým strukturám definovaný prostřednictvím metody ostrých dramaturgických řezů. Ta spočívá v precizním naplňování konvencí hororových subžánrů a jejich následném pozměňování, díky čemuž konvencionalizovaný žánr znovunalézá svůj podvratný potenciál. It establishes its position within the horror as a crisis narrative, the forming of which is influenced by circumstances of the period, and puts it in context of contemporary European horror and integrating creative vision. The analysis itself then focuses on an innovative approach to genre structures defined by the method of radical dramatic cuts, which lies in precise fulfillment of horror subgenre conventions and their subsequent alterations, due to which the conventionalised genre rediscovers its subversive potential.
