Tato bakalářská práce je komentovaným překladem části francouzské populárně-naučné publikace L'enfant qui n'entend pas autorek Dominique Seban-Lefebvre a Christine Toffin, obou působících v době vzniku publikace na pařížské nemocnici Necker. Překladová část je věnována možnosti zjistit příčinu sluchové vady pomocí genetického vyšetření a dále kochleárnímu implantátu, jakožto invazivní kompenzační pomůcce schopné nahradit sluch i dětem s velmi těžkým postižením sluchu. Druhá část práce je zaměřena teoreticky na proces překládání zmíněného textu, kdy je nejprve analyzován originální text, poté jsou určeny základní překladatelské problémy, následně jsou popsány užité překladatelské postupy a způsobené posuny. This bachelor thesis is a czech annotated translation of a part of a french popular science publication L'enfant qui n'entend pas, written by two women who worked in the Necker Hospital in Paris - Dominique Seban-Lefebvre and Christine Toffin, The translated text is devoted firstly to the genetical tests which can show the reason of the deafness of the child and secondly to the cochlear implant, device that makes the hearing possible even for the children with severe hearing loss. The second part of this thesis is a theoratical one that describes the important translation difficulties, shows the methods that were used and mentions the effects that it had on the translation.
