Teoretická část práce shromažďuje teoretická východiska pro daný výzkum - obsah a význam kurikulárních dokumentů pro přírodovědné vzdělávání; současné vědní poznatky o vybraných molekulárně biologických tématech vyučovaných na středních školách; charakteristiku žákovských prekonceptů a miskoncepcí, jejich diagnostiku a význam. V praktické části jsou stanoveny výzkumné problémy a cíle, jejichž předmětem je analýza obsahu učiva a vyučovacích metod molekulárně biologických témat na vybrané střední škole; dále pak diagnostika prekonceptů pojmu "nukleové kyseliny" žáků 1., 3. a 4. ročníku vybrané školy (95 respondentů), jež sloužila k určení celkové podoby daného prekonceptu (geneze, modifikace a konceptuální změna v průběhu studia na střední škole). Součástí výzkumu též bylo zakomponování nových laboratorních cvičení, s tématikou nukleových kyselin, do výuky ve 4. ročníku a zhodnocení jejich vlivu na podobu daného prekonceptu. Hodnocení proběhlo formou porovnání úspěšnosti řešení otázek didaktického testu žáků 1.a 3. ročníků a žáků 3. a 4. ročníků, které bylo následně statisticky podloženo Pearsonovým χ2-testem. Analýzou ŠVP vybrané střední školy bylo zjištěno, že převážná část učiva molekulární biologie je řazena do 4. ročníku studia z důvodů své vysoké náročnosti a abstraktnosti. Dále byl vyhodnocen... The theoretical part assembles methodological starting points for the research - the content and meaning of curricula documents for science education; the contemporary scientific knowledge about selected molecularly biological topics taught at secondary schools; the characteristics of student preconceptions and misconceptions, their diagnosis and importance. The practical part contains the setting of research problems and aims related to their object, presented as the content analysis of curriculum and the teaching methods concerning molecularly biological topics at a selected secondary school; the diagnosis of preconceptions regarding the term "nucleic acids" with pupils (first, third and fourth grade) studying at a selected secondary school (ninety- five respondents) that served to the determination of overall character of stated preconception (genesis, modification and conceptual change during the study at a secondary school). The incorporation of new laboratory exercises with the topic of nucleic acids to the education in the fourth grade and the assessment of their impact on the shape of the preconception has been also the part of the project.
