Cílem této diplomové práce je vytvořit komentovaný český překlad uměleckého textu, rozšířený o analýzu recepce autorova díla v českém prostředí. Konkrétně se jedná o dvě povídky (L'arbre Yama a Barsa, ou barsaq) z povídkového souboru Histoire du pied et autres fantaisies od francouzského autora a nositele Nobelovy ceny za literaturu z roku 2008 J. M. G. Le Clézia. První část diplomové práce tvoří samotný překlad dvou povídek do češtiny. Druhou částí je odborný komentář, který je rozdělen do několika kapitol. V úvodní kapitole komentáře se zabýváme zdůvodněním volby předlohy, dále uvádíme základní údaje o předloze a jejím autorovi a snažíme se zasadit autorovo dílo do kontextu původní a překladové literatury. Ve třetí kapitole charakterizujeme hlavní stylistické a obsahové rysy předlohy, ve čtvrté kapitole pak hlavní překladatelské problémy a způsob i odůvodnění jejich řešení. V páté kapitole popisujeme volbu překladatelské metody a koncepci překladu. V šesté kapitole se věnujeme recepci překladů knih J. M. G. Le Clézia. V poslední kapitole analyzujeme výsledky dotazníkového šetření mezi českými nakladateli. The aim of this thesis is to present an annotated literary translation of two short stories (L'arbre Yama a Barsa, ou barsaq) from the collection Histoire du pied et autres fantaisies by French author and Nobel Prize for literature winner J. M. G. Le Clézio. The first part of this thesis contains a translation of the two short stories. The second part, a commentary on the translation, includes information about the choice of the text, the author and his work, main stylistic and thematic features of the two translated texts, a list of main translation problems and strategies to solve them, the choice of the translation method and conception, the reception of Le Clézio's work in Czech literary context and an analysis of a survey among Czech publishers.
