Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá kostelem sv. Jana Nepomuckého na Skalce. První část se věnuje osobě sv. Jana Nepomuckého pro pochopení jeho kultu, který se velice rozvinul v době baroka. Dále přechází pozornost na barokní náboženská bratrstva jakožto fenomén doby se zaměřením na nejstarší svatojánskou konfraternitu, která se stala fundátorem kostela Na Skalce. Následuje kapitola pojednávající o historii jeho výstavby. Nejpodstatnější část práce se věnuje architektuře kostela s jejím detailním popisem, s cílem poukázat na její nebývalé kvality. Napomoci tomu má také stať, která se snaží zasadit kostel Na Skalce do tvorby K. I. Dientzenhofera a upozornit na významné zahraniční svatyně, u kterých se formálně inspiroval. Poslední neméně podstatná kapitola se zaměřuje na vnitřní zařízení kostela. Pozornost je věnována sochařské a malířské výzdobě jednotlivých oltářů, v čele se sochou sv. Jana Nepomuckého od Jana Brokoffa na hlavním retáblu. Opomenuty nejsou ani nástropní fresky od F. A. Müllera. Klíčová slova kostel sv. Jana Nepomuckého, Praha, baroko, K. I. The first part is dedicated to St. John of Nepomuk for understanding his cult which was mostly developed in the Baroque period. Furthermore the attention passes to Baroque religious brotherhoods as a phenomenon of this time with focusing on the oldest Confraternity of Saint John, which became the founder of the church On the Rock. The following chapter dealing with the history of its construction. The most important part of this study is devoted to the architecture of the church with its detailed description, in order to show its unprecedented quality. Another part that is also helping to confirm this assertion is trying to plant the church on the Rock in to the artistic creation of Dientzenhofers and highlight significant foreign shrines which was his formal inspirations. Last, but no less significant chapter focuses on the inside of the church. Attention is paid to the sculptural and painting decoration of particular altars, headed by the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from John Brokoff on the main retable.
