Bakalářská práce se zabývá kombinací pracovního a rodinného života lékařek v České republice. Protichůdné požadavky pracovního trhu a rodinného života, tradiční rozdělení genderových rolí, nedostatečná institucionální podpora rodičů (nedostatečný počet zařízení pro péči o děti atd.) a specifické nároky na výkon lékařské profese ztěžují kombinaci pracovního a rodinného života. Individuální svobodné volby a strukturální bariéry byly identifikovány jako základní východiska pro vznik klíčových teorií, které jsou spolu se specifiky lékařské profese a strategiemi, které lékařky volí při skloubení pracovních a rodinných povinností, rozebrány v teoretické části práce. Cílem práce je zodpovědět otázku, jaké problémy pociťují lékařky mající děti při kombinaci svého pracovního a rodinného života. Empirická část práce analyzuje výsledky z kvantitativní sondy ve třech tematických okruzích - lékařské profese, rodičovské dovolené a bariér při kombinaci pracovního a rodinného života. Conflicting requirements of labour market, traditional division of gender roles, lack of institutional support for parents (insufficient number of establishment providing child care et.) and specific demands of being doctor complicate work and life balance. In the theoretical part were discussed key theories based on personal freedom of choices or structural barriers of labour market, specifics of medical profession and strategies of solution to avoid unsuccessful work and life balance. The aim of this thesis is to answer which barriers female doctors (having children) perceive in combination of work and family. The empirical part of this thesis focuses on analyzing results of quantitative study in three thematic areas - doctor profession, experience with maternity leave and barriers to work and life balance.
