3 ABSTRAKT Bakalářská práce předkládá současné poznatky o koncepci age managementu - řízení věkové struktury pracovníků v podmínkách České republiky. Práce se zaměřuje na aktuální demografický vývoj a důsledky měnící se věkové struktury obyvatelstva, na stáří a stárnutí a na problematiku postavení starších pracovníků na trhu práce. Zabývá se otázkou vlivu věku pracovníků na výkon profese a pracovní schopností pracovníků, zmiňuje aspekty zaměstnávání starších pracovníků a dotýká se problematiky věkové diskriminace. Práce představuje koncept age management jako přístup k demografickým změnám a poukazuje na výhody aplikace jeho možných nástrojů na úrovni organizace. Součástí práce je případová studie řízení věkové struktury zaměstnanců ve společnosti Severočeské doly a.s., která se vyznačuje vysokým průměrným věkem svých zaměstnanců. Práce zjišťuje, jak organizace řeší aktuální věkovou strukturu svých zaměstnanců a jak reflektuje tuto skutečnost ve svých personálních činnostech, přičemž se opírá o koncept řízení věkové struktury zaměstnanců mateřské společnosti ČEZ, a. s. KLÍČOVÁ SLOVA Age management, demografické změny, index pracovní schopnosti, pracovní schopnost, pracovní výkon, stáří, stárnutí, věková diskriminace, věková struktura, zaměstnanci starší padesáti let 4 ABSTRACT This bachelor thesis presents current knowledge on the concept of age management in the Czech Republic. This thesis focuses on current demographic trends and implications of the changing age structure of the population, old age and ageing itself and on the issue of the status of older workers in the labour market. The effect of worker's age on their ability to fulfil their role and work ability are examined, also aspects of the employment of older workers are mentioned, as a result it touches on the issue of age discrimination. This thesis represents the concept of age management as an approach to demographic changes and highlights the benefits of the application of its possible tools at the organizational level. This thesis includes a case study examining age management in Severočeské doly a.s., which has a high average age of its employees. It explores how this organization tackles the current age structure of its employees and how it reflects this fact into their HR activities, relying on the concept of age management of the parent company ČEZ, a. s.
