Barbora Fialová Zahraniční politika Majorovy vlády. Příspěvek ke studiu dějin ostrovního státu v posledním desetiletí 20. století Diplomová práce - Abstrakt Práce se zabývá obdobím vlády konzervativního ministerského předsedy Johna Majora ve Velké Británii v letech 1990-1997. Hlavní důraz je kladen na analýzu zahraniční politiky Majorovy vlády, především na vývoj vztahů ostrovního státu s Evropskými společenstvími, respektive s Evropskou unií, ale i na analýzu vztahů s dalšími pro Velkou Británii významnými zeměmi, jako například Spojenými Státy či Commonwealthem. Není opomenuta ani samotná osobnost Johna Majora a analýza vlivu jeho osobní moci na britskou zahraniční politiku. Práce se zabývá rovněž analýzou podstatných faktorů a trendů vnitřní politiky Majorovy vlády, které ovlivňovaly politiku zahraniční a naopak. Autorka vycházela především z vydaných pramenů a odborné literatury zejména britské provenience. Barbora Fialová The Foreign Policy of John Major᾽s Cabinet (1990-1997). Contribution to the History of the Island State in the 1990s Master's Thesis - the Abstract The master's thesis deals with a period of John Major's conservative government in the Great Britain (1990-1997). Main interest of this thesis is a foreign policies' analysis of the Major's government. Primarily, it puts an emphasis on a development of relationships with the European Communities and later the European Union. Nevertheless, it also deals with the relationship with the United States or with the Commonwealth of Nations. Moreover, the personality of John Major and his impact on British foreign policies is studied. Major's government's domestic policies were influenced by foreign policies and vice versa, the key factors are described in the thesis. The author uses mainly British sources and literature.
